Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can't get forum notifications when someone replies to a topic? I hope I'm just missing a setting or something. Can anyone help? Hopefully, I remember to check back for the answer since I won't be notified.

you can always check the line just above your OP that says
Home > Recent Posts > MY TOPICS > Settings > Search

within the current system that's the 25 threads you've posted in that have the most recent posting activity, if you're listed as the last poster then no one has posted since you were in it. Or if you know you were last on 12 hours ago and it says there's a post 4 hours ago then you know that there's been activity.
