I was wondering if you could add zumba to the listing of exercises to choose from. I have no ideahow many calories are burned in that class but it is much more strenuous than a normal aerobics type class. I'm new to the site and it is one of my staple forms of exercise. THANKS

I use the "Dancing- Aerobic, Modern, Twist, etc." option. But I just received my heart rate monitor, which is the most accurate way to gauge your calories burned. They are between $50-$125 for a good one. Polar is the brand I recommend.

I just started Zumba. Since I can't seem to coordinate my arms and my feet at the same time nor keep up I used the dance pretty low. At low it's around 186 cals. However the link provided said 246. Right now I am just trying to keep moving period..

FYI All the zumba calorie counters are way off and way too high from my own experience. I rely on my HRM to get my true cals. I do zumba VERY HARD and for half hour class, the most I've burned is 213 cals. The average is 175ish,

A friend of mine recommended Zumba and I found I love it too! Don't feel so bad if you can't do all the moves, just keep moving that is the trick! Enjoy!
