That's not really a great name for it, but I don't know what else to call it. Essentially, what I want to be able to save some brand of milk as "Milk" and then use "Milk" in recipes and food logging. That way, when I decide to get 2% instead of skim, I don't have to change so many things. Bread is another good example. Eggs would be another; eggs go into tons of things and you cook them on their own, so you can see where having the ability to say "I bought these types of eggs from the store" and then being able to specify just the type of food as an ingredient, instead of having to search for it, could be extremely useful.
