I need a workout playlist! I LOVE all genres of music but stay motivated by loud, aggressive, electronic music. Anyone have any suggestions for my playlist revamp?

Okay, this is completely stupid, but one of my favorite workout songs is from Mortal Kombat - Choose Your Destiny. It never fails to keep me pumped, and I'm not even a Mortal Kombat fan! LOL
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1nzADdV6zk Also, Cochise from Audioslave and Head Like a Hold from NIN are good aggressive ones to keep you moving.

I love Godsmack and Disturbed. Especially Disturbed I downloaded a lot of their songs and it lasts me my whole workout. My workout at the gym usually consists of over 2 hours.

Audioslave and NIN with a peppering of Korn is on the playlist now. Those definitely keep me focused. I'll take a look at the Mortal Kombat. That's def. one I would have never added on my own!

**Edited: When I read your Original post I somehow missed the "aggressive" part and just went to loud and electronic. Whoops. As far as music that will work for you, I'm still a big fan of mid-2000s Papa Roach and Korn.
If you're into mixes, Girl Talk has a great one called All Day that's over an hour long. RockMyRun.com has hundreds of run mixes and you get a free "credit" every month to use towards new mixes. I listen to a lot of different kinds of music, and my only requirement for my gym list is that it's a song that makes me happy or reminds me of happy things. Some of my favorite songs on my gym list right now are: Fader - Tempertrap Girlfriend - Avril Lavigne Disco Heaven - Lady Gaga Send My Love to the Dancefloor - Cobra Starship Immigrant Song - Led Zeppelin This is How We Do It - Montell Jordan Dancing On My Own - Robyn That's Not My Name - Ting Tings Turn Me On - David Guetta/Nicki Minaj Blackout - Breathe Carolina Too Close - Alex Clare (from the new IE/Bing ads) Basically any time I hear something that makes me smile & bop my head I Shazam it and buy it for the gym list.

Well she did say she liked that electric feel to things...I don't recall any older music that verges on a Rock-Electric stuff except for some of that old funk-electric stuff that really didn't go anywhere...except for Word-Up! |
