Wow, I am surprised by this thread. I have only had mine for a little less than a month and have had acceptable customer service contact {my issue was not unit related} nand my fellow MFP users I have contact with have had nothing but positive interactions. There does seem to be issues with Mac users.

My fitbit is working with MyFitnessPal, but here is a delay sometimes with the data syncing. I read on one forum that is may take up to an hour for the 2 sites to sync. I don't know if it really has taken as long a an hour, but I do know that it has taken as long as 15 minutes.

I returned mine as defective less than 24 hours after it arrived. It records fine on the device, but only synced once. Customer service was useless, replying with a two line email that in no way addressed the issue. I hope the next one gives me a better experience--one, because the thing was $100, and two, because it seemed cool before it wouldn't sync!

I just got a Fitbit one for Christmas and it won't even turn on. I tried to turn it but because it had been opened and I don't have a receipt, I am stuck with it and no one from customer service has responded to my emails. I'm pretty frustrated over the whole thing.

OKAY listen!!!!!

Your fitbit came with the docking station, which is a USB cable to plug your stick into...

It ALSO came with a smaller black USB device
(its really small.. mine is a little black USB plug looks like a wireless mouse adapter)

Plug this small little piece into a USB connection on your computer,
as well as the docking station that has your stick in it..

click on fitbit connect in your system tray..

Your good to go FIXXXXXED, your all welcome

So bummed I didn't read all this before I ordered (and had to wait a MONTH for) the Force. Syncs only with my tablet but never my phone. All kinds of error messages. What a waste.

My fitbit syncs perfectly with my phone AND my laptop. Perhaps contact fitbit or myp support?

My husband bought an FB Zip from Amazon earlier in the week and it's not working properly. Although some steps register they always show on his computer dashboard as at least 2000 below what the Zip show!

The battery is also playing up and he's wishing he'd never bothered in the first place!

I did not open my fit bit right away. It's been sitting a few months. But guess what? The computer won't recognize it. I tried using the tips on the forum. Tried linking to the update, but it does nothing. It still does not work. I could keep trying...but the time would be better spend sleeping or getting some exercise, which is the fit bit lesson I have learned. I see from the threads that I could spend lots more time on the gadget. Or...I could get some z's.

Thank you for the information, and that's fine and dandy, but I would prefer to talk to a live person. What number can I call to talk to a live person -- I don't want to go through this e-mailing back and forth.
