....make it so we can edit amounts in recipes.

We tend to change them throughout time, and we are constantly removing ingredients to re-add them..... please make it so we can just edit the amount. Thanks!

totally agree. this is so irritating because you have to completely delete the ingredient then go search for it again.

This would be amazingly helpful.

You can edit them after they are entered into your Food Diary. Just click on the ingredient right in your Food Diary. The blue "portion" box will appear. Edit the portion size of that ingredient, and save. It will only fix it for that day. If you want to completely change the portion forever, you have to enter a new Recipe. I use this frequently. Same with Meals.

Doesn't a recipe just enter
"my goulash" in the food diary, rather than the pasta, tomato sauce, ground beef and assorted spices?
by just posting the "dish name" and serving size you don't have the access to change a given ingredient amount, that's from "my meals"

Pandorian,

Maybe it does. But the Recipes are editable anyway, in the Recipe tab, so I just assumed that was a given.

Thanks.

Maybe on one of the apps they're editable, I've read that they are, but lacking a smartphone I'm limited to the website

ON the website clicking an ingredient (as per our food diary editing ability) doesn't do anything, they aren't clickable, so to change an ingredient on the website you have to delete the ingredient with the wrong amount and search for it all over again to add the correct amount, which is the origin of the complaint for the suggestion being made.

I agree! I hate having to delete and add the same ingredient just because I changed the amount I am putting in!

Oh!!! Sorry, you're right. I must learn better reading comprehension laugh.....or use the "recipe" function more. What would we do without you, Pandorian?

You can do it on the Android and iPhone apps. More > Edit Foods & Exercises > My Recipes. I hope they are considering giving us this ability on the site as well!
