Hi :) I'm a nursing mom, looking more so to get healthy and toned again rather than just "lose weight". I noticed there wasn't really anywhere to account for the 500+ calories a day that breastfeeding burns. I'll improvise, but as someone who is training in Lactation Consultation, and Nutrition, it would be awesome to find an app that is nursing mom friendly, as its very important for nursing moms to pace themselves, and take in enough calories to support lactation....just a thought/suggestion. otherwise, this is an awesome tool!

Hi,
I am a LC and work in hospital. First- congrats on your baby and kudos on wanting to enhance your life with this rewarding career! All you have to do is change the calorie goal to 500 more. It's a quick fix and then you log in your food as normal. |

What she said. Or, there is a food in the database called "breastfeeding" or "nursing", which subtracts calories.

I use the database entry. 'Breastfeeding -300' as my daughter also has solids. It makes things easier to calculate. =)

Just add breastfeeding as an exercise once a day?
