Is it possible to see the Carb/Protein/Fat pie chart that comes up on the Android App when logged into the internet webite?
June 20, 2012 10:12 PM
The pie chart is not available online. We will definitely consider adding it in a future update. The apps and site are meant to compliment each other, and some features will only be found in one or the other location.

Which leaves those of us who refuse to get a smart-phone hanging... reports are better on the apps, apps have a daily summary view showing you all the nutrition that can be entered for the foods when you create them... they have a pie-chart, but I'm not buying a phone just to get access to what should be on the site first.. the site is used on computers (for most of us accessing the site, I know some use the phone browser to get at features not on the apps, like the forums) with a bigger screen so it should be able to display the nutrition summary far easier than the apps.

Yeah a pie chart on the site would be great. But you've still a satified customer.

Please add the pie chart to the website! It's a pain to have to enter the food in one place (I find it easier to enter on my laptop) and then switch to my iPad to see what effect it had on my macros. Pretty please? With Splenda on top?

I agree, I love the analytics that are on the android app but use my computer to track/analyze things.

I love pie charts. they make it so much easier to SEE how well you're eating. Thats how I maintained my percentages for fat/protein/carbs when I was on sparkpeople, it really did help me to visualize how well i was eating or how badly.

Please please add the pie chart to the site. It would help so much!

Here's one more vote for the Pie Chart on the web. Such a pain to enter, then have to check on the IPhone to see the results.

Even those of us with smartphones would love to see the pie charts on the site, too. There's really no reason not too (other than the argument that the pie charts are probably HTML5/CSS3 and not all desktop browsers support it, but that's actually pretty easily solved for the most part as long as you're not supporting really ancient browsers).

Also, it doesn't seem to make sense to me that either should have features the other one doesn't, and it really doesn't make sense to have the apps have more features than the site, when the app is, in pretty much every other aspect, pretty clearly the "secondary" venue (can't access forums, can't move foods between meals, etc).

Another vote for pie charts on the site.

I agree - no pie chart on the website is disappointing :(

Your android should have a pie-chart as evidenced by this thread with someone having a problem with their pie-chart via Android

Another vote for pie chart on the website. Really annoying to enter everything at the computer but have to use my phone to visualize my day! Love the site otherwise though, very handy. The barcode scanner on the app is brilliant!

I want to add another vote to the pile. Having a pie chart on mobile and not in the browser version doesn't really make sense, even in light of the apparent desire for the 2 versions to "compliment" each other. I use one when I'm on the move and the other when I'm not. No compliment needed, it's a matter of convenience.

PLEASE ADD PIE CHART AND SUMMARY LIST LIKE ANDROID ALREADY OFFERS. I use it on my Android phone all the time and would like to have it on my desktop/laptop computer too. Also, another family member just 'downgraded' from an Android phone to a non-smart phone (does that make it a dumb phone? :) ) and can't see that information anymore for her account anymore.

I recently broke my phone and am now logging via the internet and I am really missing the pie chart and total nutrient consumption list for both the day and the week. The internet leaves you adding up your macronutrients of each individual food to find your totals for the day and its driving me BONKERS

I love the pie chart (and the weekly totals in list format) on my Android phone -- it's a great, quick way to visualize the relative caloric composition of my day or week. As it is now, I copy/paste some of my logs into Excel to make my own charts, but it'd be great if this feature that's presently on phones can be brought over to the website!
