Hi! I love love love MFP! Thank you for all the hard work and innovations you all put into this life-changing tool! (And thank you for keeping free - I couldn't use it if it weren't).

I've been using the recipe feature more and more and here are two things I think would be a big boost.

1. The ability to use the barcode scanner for the ingredients in the recipes.
2. The ability to have a My Pantry like the My Foods and My Exercises. I have my pantry items that I repeatedly use in the different recipes I am building. The time it takes to open the nutrition information and confirm the labels for each recipe really slows me down. Although I am grateful for the ability to build the recipe at all!!! :D

These are probably not "new" but here's a vote for them!

Thanks again!! Catherine

I was thinking the same thing as there is usually certain foods in my pantry and it would be easier to be able to barcode the ingredients.
I have to agree that this is one of the best ones that I have used and I too would not be able to use it if it was not for free

Where is the recipe builder on the phone? I can't find it!

Nevermind!! Found it! They keep it hidden! Not a likely place to look for it!

Isn't that the truth :) I rarely read any of the "stuff below" I guess I will now, makes me wonder what else I might be missing in other pages! Lol!

I use the app on my Droid X. You can get to the recipe builder from two locations.

Go to Add/Select your Category (Breakfast...etc)/choose Recipes from the top/ scroll to the bottom and you'll see "Create a New Recipe" in blue above "Quick Add Calories Only". Follow the steps from there.

Second place also has the ability to EDIT the Foods, Exercises, Recipes, and Meals you have saved

Edit Foods & Exercises

From most any screen, choose the drop arrow to the far right. Select Edit Foods and Exercises. Select the category. If you are trying to select a publicly shared Food, it won't let you, but you can edit any you created and didn't share. I have created my Subway and Pita Pit preference, and I can edit them here.

If you select Recipes to edit, at the bottom of your screen you'll see "New Recipe"

Awesome! Thx again MFP! Catherine
