I live on a small island, in fact its really small, 12 miles by 26 and It has an area of about 147 square miles.
The only way to get here is by water, unless you have a private plane, as there is no tunnel or bridge.
So, I was wondering, does anyone else here on MFP, live on an Island?

I have a home on Sanibel Island FL. and cant wait until I am able to move there full time.

no but in my hometown there are several islands that you can either only get to by ferry, or by boat and i know lots of people who live or have lived on the island...so not very strange to me!

We camped up there every summer for 6 weeks at a time. We rented a house there this past summer and it was wonderful to go back. It really hasn't changed in the 30 years since I had been there.
