My fitbit will only sync if I revoke access and then allow access again. It is getting to be a nuisance. Can anyone help me with this? It used to sync properly at one point, but I don't know what happened.

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing sync issues with your fitbit.

Would you take a few steps so that we can see the problem happening?

As far as we are aware, sync with the fitbit site is happening within the expected threshold of 15 minutes. It's possible there are issues with individual accounts, however.

The next time your data syncs from your fitbit device to the site, and does not appear in your MyFitnessPal account within 15 minute or so, would you kindly do the following (the best way to check for sync is in the My Home > Check-In > FitBit Steps datapoint):

1 - note the time of the last successful fitbit device sync shown on your dashboard at
2 - note the number of steps associated with this update
3 - note the time (at least 15 minutes after the fitbit sync time) that the data is still not present in the Check-In area of MyFitnessPal

If you can include all of these items in a direct email to our support staff at we will have a look right away. I ask you to direct the information there because we are apt to see it much sooner than if it is posted in the forums, and we'd like you to leave the problem "as is" without unlinking/relinking your account, so that we can verify the sync issue.

If you include in your email this link (the link to this forum discussion) it will give our agents a chance to review your issue without you having to write a lengthy explanation.

We'll look as quickly as we can at what might be causing the sync issue, so that you don't have to leave the problem in existence for an unbearable amount of time.
