TOPIC: Change Measurement for Water?

Is it possible that we could change measurement for water? I have no idea what a "cup" is (guessing about a pint) in relation to the 3x 1litre bottles of water I drink in a day, would be useful to know, I usually just put the counter to 10 cups :) - I'm crap at conversions!

A cup is exactly half a pint, about a quarter of a liter.

It's a picture of a glass with a number on it. Why can't you just use it for whatever units you want?

I'm a new person to My Fitness Pal's forum. I've been using the app for about 3 months. I like all aspects of it except for one unit of measure. I don't measure water by the cup even though I know it's 8 fl. oz. I would really like to have the non-metric measurement of water shown in fl. oz and not cups. Most plans include a certain amount of water and it is always stated in fl.oz.

I'm suggesting two additions here. One, change the units of measure for water to fl.oz. Two, also provide a goal of the amount of water one wants to consume per day. This would allow folks to determine accurately where they are in terms of water consumption.

Thank you.

I agree with Elizabeth: why can't the cup of water just be = one glass, or however you want to use it?

It seems to me that the goal is already built-in. Decide how many cups (or liters, fluid ounces, etc.) you want to drink and log them in accordingly.

I'd prefer MFP work on other features rather than one we can handle ourselves.
