TOPIC: Suggestion for "Recent Forum Topics"

May 31, 2012 08:05
I'm getting really sick of seeing so many threads from the Chit Chat, Fun & Games pop up in my "Recent Forum Topics" view on my home page. A lot of them are in poor taste, IMO, and I wonder if anyone would consider excluding that forum from the thread titles that appear on people's home pages.

Thanks in advance for your consideration.

So because you don't want it, the people that actually enjoy it shouldn't get to see it either?

What fun is life with a little tastelessness?

I second this. Many of these get blocked by my work for being "offensive and tasteless", so a lot of times I am not able to access my homepage at all.

No, that's not what I'm saying. People who want to see it can go directly to the Chit-Chat, Fun & Games board to see it. But people who don't want to see potentially offensive thread titles shouldn't have it show up on their homepage with nothing we can do to get rid of it.

What about an option to completely delete the "recent forum posts" on your page, that way everyone has to go to the forums and pick which ones they want to look at?

I second this request. I'm not offended by the posts but the sheer volume of them appearing on the "Recent Forum Topics" makes all other posts disappear in seconds. This is supposed to be a diet/nutrition & fitness website after all...not Facebook.
