Hi Everyone,
I've been a MFP member for about 3 weeks now! I haven't lost any weight just yet - it's been a challenging 2 years for me, but I'm focusing on just being happy and healthy.
My question: My calories per day is 1200. That is about right. When I do boot camp, I burn about 500 calories. MFP adds those calories on for a total of 1700 calories. I have to admit I am more hungry on these days that I do boot camp in the morning, but am I supposed to make up those extra 500 calories by continuing to eat?
I've always thought that "they" said to exercise in order to burn the calories that you eat. I feel that "eating the calories I burn" makes me stay the same weight. But these are just my thoughts! :)
What are yours?

might do better in the Weight loss section, but the initial goal MFP gives you (1200 in your case) already includes the deficit for weight loss based on what you told it, so when you exercise more and eat the equivalent you still have the original weight loss you specified.
Example - sedentary day you use 2200, set 1 lb/week, MFP says eat 1200 (1000 deficit)
exercise day - exercise 500, MFP says eat 1700, total used 2700, deficit still 1000

Thanks, YarWell! That's the part I was missing (the extra Sedentary calories).
