Trader joes has turkey burger patties frozen four for 2.99 so I picked some up. Lean protein at such a great price, very exciting. But what can I do with them other than the obvious.... ?

This may be considered the "obvious" but it is my favorite way to make my turkey burgers.
I dice up some (lots) mushrooms and onions and cook them in a touch of olive oil. Once those get going really well I move them to the outside of the pan and put my turkey burger in the middle. I'll add some seasoning or something at this point depending on what I feel like. Finish cooking the burger, move the veggies on top of the burger, then top with a slice of swiss cheese! Very YUMMY!!! Sometimes I serve on a bun, or toast, sometimes I just eat as is.

I cooked TJ's chili lime chicken burgers (or whatever they're called) the other night and along with it served taco salad stuff--lettuce, cheese, refried beans, and some corn tortillas. We all chopped up our patties and did whatever we wanted with them, some put them on taco salad, some put them in tacos.
Scramble and add to eggs, put in quesadillas, casserole dishes. Really anything you might use ground beef for. |

I have slathered them in tomato sauce, then top with some low fat mozarella. Like a low-cal chicken parm! Eat with a side of steamed veggies, and a black bean brownie for dessert.

I like to put green peppers, red peppers, onions and some jalapenos in them and make a spicy burger =)

I just did this for my lunch and OMG i was in heaven. I chopped up some zucchini and mushrooms and cooked them in some marinara. Cooked up the turkey patty on my foreman grill, added a slice of trader joes yogurt cheese, and topped with the veggies and sauce. SO tasty :)
