Very soon I will be going on a road trip in my 1969 VW from the UK around Europe, heading over the alps into Italy, then over to Spain, back up through France etc.
I'm building up my road trip soundtrack and was wondering if you have any suggestions? Go! |

Bob Marley - every album!!! Jammin is my road trip tune.
I'd need a bit of funky house in there too to sing along to

Keep 'em coming.
I've got a fair few of the classics, stuff from Springsteen, Dylan, Led Zep, The Who, The Smiths, all hippie type music (mamas and papas/Scott Mckenzie/The Eagles) |

If you like Zydeco; Keith Frank, Beau Jocque, Buckwheat Zydeco, etc - You won't fall asleep :)

I suggested them because it's music everyone seems to know the words to. Road trip singalongs are fun, especially if you can do it satirically! As a suggestion, Oasis is much more enjoyable if you assume that you are being punked, or that it's some sort of performance art. |

I suggest you check out Zoe Keating if you haven't already. Her music is very intricate and diverse. It seems to sing the song of nature. Also Red Hot Chili Peppers are a road trip must. :P

Great newer band with a classic 70's sound, Rival Sons. Check 'em out.
