TOPIC: Changing calories goal affects past diary entries

I have been gradually upping my calories and discovered that the calories goal in my past diary entries have be adjusted to reflect the new amount. Is this normal?

I noticed that too, and it actually is quite a shame, because it makes past days look well over/ under target when actually they weren't, if you know what I mean.

Hello,

Unfortunately, setting a new daily calorie goal will affect your historical entries and also change your calorie goal for previous days. We'd like to change this so that we can store a history of your calorie goal, but unfortunately, it's not a simple fix which is why we haven't implemented it yet. But it's definitely on our to-do list.

Thanks again for your feedback, we appreciate it!

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

One nice effect of this side-effect is that as our bodies get leaner and our calorie goals lower we can see how we have to change our eating habits from those times we did lose weight to the new calorie limit we give ourselves.

Its easy to say oh I can eat this cause I've had this same exact meal with the previous amount of calories I've already had today and not lose our intended amounts.

So when we go back we can see oh wow yeah I totally can't do that anymore.

I'm a visual person and I weigh in weekly at a health club and I go back through my days to see why I gained or lost as much as I did as compared to previous weeks. I actually posted a blog of my understandings on Friday.

So while it feels like at first the 'side-effect' makes you feel like you look like a loser showing you all that red it can help you be a Real "Loser". :)

Have a great weekend! :)

***I see the initial poster has been upping but someone below commented as though they have been downing like me.
I'm not sure the difference for upping but you can see the differences you've done over time--which you could do if they fixed it but you can see the 'empty-ness' of what you weren't eating before.
