I'm so stuck and really not sure what to do any more with dieting. I have tried one extream to another.
During the day lately I have been eating a lot of fruits and vegetables and really don't eat much other than that. But when I get home I am starving! I'm not sure if you would call it a binge... But I feel like I'm binging when I get home on all different types of foods. These foods go from salads, most days, to more sugary foods the next.
Whatever I eat I always feel terrible and that I have to spend 3 hours working it off. Even if it's fruit and vegetables.
Everything's confusing me and I just need a little bit of help!

I'm not liking your pure sugar breakfasts, and some days your total protein is low. Try to start the day with some protein and keep the fruit = sugar content under control.
" Whatever I eat I always feel terrible " doesn't sound good, is this guilt or physical ? Tell us a bit about your current height / weight & goals.

QUOTE: I'm not liking your pure sugar breakfasts, and some days your total protein is low. Try to start the day with some protein and keep the fruit = sugar content under control. This. Fruits and vegetables are good for you, but they're not a fantastic way to start the day, at least not by themselves. Sugar, even fruit sugar, gives you a burst of energy initially, but there's that inevitable crash, and it doesn't keep you feeling full for very long. Protein gives you a long-term source of energy, with no crash, and keeps your stomach feeling satisfied for longer. You don't need to cut out the fruit, but you do need to try to get some good protein first thing in the morning. Also, if your food log is accurate, you're really not eating enough, which is probably a big part of the reason you're feeling so ravenous in the evening. Try eating more. Yes, exercise, but it's good to eat all your allotted calories. You might even want to raise your calorie goal so you're set to lose a pound or half a pound a week instead of 2 pounds. There's no need to starve yourself. Food is not the enemy. You can eat good, healthy food, in decent amounts, and still lose weight without feeling like you're constantly waiting for the next meal. |

I agree with the above. You've probably heard it a million times but you need protein and good fats to feel full. I didn't believe it until I tried it. When I ate mostly vegan I was always hungry. Now I eat seafood and dairy to get more protein and I don't get that ravenous feeling anymore.
I really think it's worth a try.
