Hello

Thank you for all of your feedback. I just want you to know we do hear it. We are a very small team here and we work very hard to make sure all of our members have an exceptional experience. If you see any posts or topics that you feel are not appropriate or violate the MyFitnessPal guidelines will you please use the "Report Post" feature. We rely on our great users to help us since we simply do not have enough man power to read every thread and improve the customer experience. If you have any other suggestions or comments feel free to let me know and I would be more then happy to pass that information on.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Scott
MyFitnessPal Staff

Thanks for the great site!
And the reminder that we can all help make the site better -- with what we post and by helping to identify violations (and trolls).

I think so, too, in a way. I have been on MFP since 2009 and when I was first on here, EVERYTHING was positive. Friends were positive, the forums were all positive, and everything was about weight-loss. Most things are still positive, but since this site has gained so much popularity..there are so many more people on here and therefore, more crap to deal with.

There is a wealth of information on this site, and a lot of supportive people. There is also, however, a lot of people who think they are experts just because they lost weight and believe everyone should be doing it the way they are doing it or they are doing it wrong. I think more people should just show support and shush and let other people work out the way they want to.

My *ONLY* problem with this site is purely technical -- if I try to search for something on the forums I can't go backwards once I've clicked on link. So if I want to go back to the results I basically have to search all over again. Of course, this may not be MFP's problem -- it may just be my browser, or my OS. Either way, NOT A BIG DEAL.

CTRL clicking links ftw. Opens the link in a new tab. (Unless you have a mac in which case I have no idea how to do it but you should be able to do something similar by right {left?} clicking the link to get the context menu to appear and selecting "open link in new tab")

Command-click on Mac.

Thanks for letting me know!

I just started, and I am sorry to see a lot of disappointment with the site from other members. If only everyone would follow the golden rules of "IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANYTHING NICE TO SAY, THEN DON'T SAY IT AT ALL". Or the "DO UNTO OTHERS....
It's a shame people have to pick apart someone to feel better about themselves. Hold yourself high and ignore the BS. Good Luck to all!

I have been here some time now and I don't think this site has gone downhill. In fact, I think it has got better.

The group facility has worked well and the moderation is generally good. The site has had a number of tweaks which have improved it.

It is evident that there are many more users than there used to be and so the "*****iness" is more visible I guess. However, proportionally there is less now in my view.

People, sites, the world is constantly evolving. Change is not a bad thing but there will always be people who seek to maintain the status quo as it serves their interests.

For me I say well done to the all the folks who give their time to making this site better. It's working.

I haven't used this site for very long, but from the short time of using it I love it. I think it is great that there are people out there that are willing to help others and share knowledge.

On the other hand with so many people, comes many different personalities, ideals, and inability to think before they speak. It just comes with the territory take both positive and negative a shrug of the shoulders and remember that they aren't you, and you aren't them..and this is not a one size fits all...:)

Nah, it's just the forums. The rest of the site is great.

I agree fully and add, It's no different than any other social media site, you have to search for the people who are gonna be truly supportive friends the rest you have to drop or they'll bring you down.

Love the site, achieved so much through it and made some great friends. There will always be people on a public site who are a waste of space, but there are plenty of great people on here and that's the main thing!

Honestly, I appreciate the forums in all their support/snarky glory. It makes coming back here, day after day, fun. It makes it interesting. And it helps people connect in the ways they do best. (Sometimes you say "Good job!" Sometimes you post a "WTF" gif. It works either way.)

I know the mods are always stamping out fires, but I appreciate how open the forums are.

I love it for the ease of use and the fact that the app is free on my phone. I used sparkpeople (that is the best place if you want support) but it was just too much going on there. I'm here to lose weight, not make friends or enemies!

I agree this site has some amazing information and some amazing people who can help you through the journey, but the trolls are really starting to get to me.

I'm seriously scared to add more friends now because of some recent events. People can just be so rude these days.

Other than that, it's fine. I just keep myself to myself now which is a shame because I used to like the forums!
