 I know this has been beat to DEATH and I'm sorry to ask it again... however, I still will!
How GREAT would it be to comment on someone's status and get an email update when they comment back to you?! It could be optional so that others can say no if they want, but I know that I would love it. THanks!

Like on FB when someone else comments on a status you've commented on... I guess that would be cool.

Right! So if I comment on a post on your profile, and you comment back it would let me know without me having to go back to your profile to look every few minutes. I bet lots and lots of people feel like they are being ignored, but most times the person doesn't know they commented back :)

This is a great idea!! I so rarely go back to see what other people have said about anything I've commented on, especially with the number of friends I have on this site.

Exactly! I try so hard to comment and keep in touch with all my buddies, but sometimes it is HARD to know who out of the 80ish friends that I have to know who is commenting back to me. I want to know!!! *stomps feet, bangs fists*

I actually hate that feature on Facebook and can't figure out how to turn it off. It makes me nuts to get a zillion notifications on my phone that somebody else commented on something that I commented on.
If I'm that interested in seeing if they commented back to me, I'll go check out the post again. Most of my friends respond to my profile though if I ask a specific question.

You are right that it can get super annoying for sure! It would be great if the notifications gave an 'opt out' option as well... I just hate feeling like I am ignoring people who may be responding to something I said

I can see how some might like that, but it definitely should have an easy opt out for those of us who don't want our inbox filled with that sort of thing.

You can't have looked very hard... it's under Account Settings > Notifications > Wall Comments. |

I wouldn't mind having a "notifications" list like on FB (maybe it's called updates) where it tells you the activity on your profile, statuses and updates. That would eleviate the email situation but we'd still get notifications. I hate feeling like I'm ignoring people as well.
