A little history...
Hi, I'm an over eater, binge eater, bad food junkie (what ever you want to call it) that's me. I've had hips since I can remember, which is the body part I focus on the most, whatever body part drives you crazy it's usually the hardest to fix. Since grade 5 i've struggled with food and body image meanwhile repeating an ugly cycle of under eating, over exercising, not exercising at all and depriving myself of just about everything, then going on "bad" food binges for days or weeks at a time. For years I struggled with this, but I couldn't seem to find a permanent solution. But I did find out alot of things that will NOT work. I was starting to lose all hope. So just when I thought i've lost the struggle and was going to be fat (in my eyes) forever. My sister in law/friend mentioned MFP to me, hmmm counting calories? That's something i've never done before, well not in a healthy way. So on March 5, 2012, I joined MFP and things started to look up, I was eating everything I wanted just in moderation. and since then I've lost 25 lbs. Great! now I feel more in control, I wasn't depriving myself, I was motivated to workout and I started to view food in a more normal way than ever before. For me, every 10 lbs or so I lose I need to find some new motivation, something that excites me.... which has now brought me to ISAGENIX. I was eating everything I wanted but I wasn't getting enough energy, so someone mention isagenix to me and gave me a pamphlet. So after months of research and talking to people who have done and completed the program I decided to order it and try it out for myself. i'm not looking for a quick fix, nothing comes easy, especially weightloss. I've just never done a program like this before so I was excited for the new challenge. I started on Saturday and have been keeping a written daily review of my isaegnix experience. So I will be posting my reviews on MFP. Hopefully the reviews can help others who were curious about this program. Thanks for reading:)

Ya, I have a friend who does that (and every other ridiculous scam under the sun.
Love those 2 little pellets she gets to eat for a "snack", or 1 berry koolaid drnk. Really? Do you know what that is going to do to your success? It's going to KILL IT. Stick with food, not pellets . . . |

DAY 1-Isagenix 30 Day Cleanse
Saturday May 19, 2012 Today I started the Isagenix 30 day cleanse. I woke up saturday morning, starving (as per usual) walking past the tub of gummie bears that I wanted to grab a handul of. Instead I recorded my weight and took my measurement then I went to the ktichen and measured out 8 oz of water for the isalean shake (which I ordered in chocolate) and 2 oz of water for the ionix supreme (which I had received in powder form). I drank the isalean shake (and 1 natural accelerator) first while I ran some errands and waited for the ionix supreme to dissolve. The shake which I once heard someone describe as the taste of battery acid, was suprisingly great. It tasted like chocolate milk to me. Another great thing about this shake was that is almost instantly satisfied my hunger and craving for those gummie bears. What a great start. When I returned home I stirred up the 2 oz of ionix supreme, sipped it and soon realized that this did NOT taste good at all, mostly tasting like medicine. So I plugged my nose and drank it s fast as I could followed by 2 8 oz glasses of water. So far so good, and still not hungry! Amazing. At this point now i'm 4.5 hours into my first day, so I had my mid morning snack, I choose to have 1 isadelight plus (which came as a free gift for signing up). Tasted just like milk chocolate which would easily curb a craving for chocolate or candy. 2 thumbs up for the isadelight plus. Now on to lunch, which consisted of 2 8 oz glases of water, prtoien, whole grains, fruits and veggies, came to 571 calories. which you can have a meal between 400-600 claories. Still completely full I have not been hungry at all today since drinking that 1st shake. I am now 6 hours into my day when I strt my work out. I completed 48 minutes of exercise, including treadmill and some ab exercises, burning 371 calories in total. At this point after my workout I start to get a little hungry (not overly though) So I had my second shake, which again completely satisfied my hunger and I felt full once again. So I have left now is to take 1 isafulsh! and drink a few more glasses of water, which I done in the evening......and I've just completed my 1st day!!! Overall today was a great success, I wasn't overly hungry all day which I thought for sure I would be, and I had spurts of energy throughout the day. Also when it came to sleep, I had a great sleep, and woke up rested. Only 29 more to go! Can't wait for what tomorrow will bring.

Hey! i'm working on the lifestyle change this is just part of the journey, I would never want to or have the time to sell any program. So i'm just enjoying the experince of trying something new. Also i'm currently in a stronger mind frame. So I do not think this will "kill" my success thus far, this is just an experience which I had to figure out on my own and not listen to what others opinion on "shakes" are. Most of my days are very rushed so the shakes really help out in that aspect. Everyone has to figure out what works for them and not everyone may agree with the route that which we as individual decide to take. I'm going to complete the isagenix and then see where it takes me. While continuing an honest and real review. Thanks for the reply:)

I'm all about supporting someone on a journey of healthy eating habits. I wish you well...but fad diets really aren't the premise behind MFP. That being said...if it works for you....and you can stick with it....for life.....I wish you the very best success.

Thanks, I only plan on continuing this for 30 days. Then i'm going to see whats next on the journey. If it works out well great, maybe I can have a shake when i'm in too much of a rush or while on vacay so I don't have to eat bad foods the whole time. But i don't think this is a permanent solution for all of life just for right now:)

eating 800 calories a day is going to slow your metabolism, kill your energy, and probably the look of your skin, hair and nails too. You will not get to goal, you will be starving, cranky, and WEAK; you will binge and you will GAIN. Then when you try to starting eating normal food again you will balloon.
Here's an article on how to stay fat while starving: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/3047-700-calories-a-day-and-not-losing You will not find any people who have made it to goal and STAYED there that eat pellets. You are being suckered into wasting your money, time and effort, and derailing the success you have had to date. Sorry, but it is true. There are no magic bullets. Eat right and exercise.

Isagenix is a GREAT nutritional program. If people did the research on it, they would find that Isagenix isn't for weight loss (although it is a great side effect), it is to fuel the body of the nutrition it has lost from all the toxins in the world. I wish you the best on your journey!!!! And make sure you track your inches lost, not just weight!

I know you posted this a while ago but I've been using Isagenix for 30 days and I've lost 13 pounds and I'm training for a triathlon and I feel amazing. I can't get over the amount of energy I have and sleep great. Its too bad you don't take the time to learn more about it before you bash it. It's complete proteins that are good for you and keep the hunger away. I highly recommend it.

I got involved with Isagenix specifically to make money. I was, and am, a gym rat, love working out and helping others, and I wanted to supplement my income as well. My sponsor started me on an everyday shake pak, which is enough isalean shakes to last a month at two a day.
They don't taste like ice cream, but they certainly aren't bad. They blend easily in a shaker bottle. I got vanilla first and always added some frozen berries and a banana. My weight hasn't changed, I had lost most of the fat I needed to lose already. But my body did change. I had plenty of energy, because I had plenty of micro nutrients. The reason why an 800 calories diet will leave you feeling weak and tired is because its nearly impossible to get a good macro and micro nutrient profile out of that many calories on the GMO and processed foods in the grocery store. Fast forward a month. All my lifts have gone up. And I went from a 42reg to a 40reg suit size. I dropped more fat, and added lean muscle mass, which is something that is very hard to do. Except it was easy :-) And it has saved me money on my food and supplement budget. Isagenix goes out of its way to proclaim that we are NOT a diet. We are a food upgrade, we are a lifestyle change. Best of luck in your health and fitness journey leesa! |

Just curious: after the 9 or 30 days, what happens then? If you decide you can't keep that Isagenix routine, how do you go back to normal/regular eating routines without regaining or shocking your system?

Numbers are numbers. It takes a 3500 calorie deficeit to lose 1 pound. So if your not going to take the Isa products any longer but still need to lose just make sure you decrease your daily calories and burn more calories through exercise. Continue eating healthy clean foods every 2-3 hours and include protein at every meal. Drink lots of water!!!

Don't you just love 'watercooler experts' that know nothing about you or what you feel and what you are achieving. Good on you. Don't listen to those that give you their clearly uneducated opinion. No one can tell you what will make you fail or succeed but you. I know what it's like to battle weight all your life. I have lost 30kgs in the past 6 months and feel amazing. I am dismayed and annoyed at how many people - people that barely know me - that feel the need to ask me what I've been doing and then tell you what will and won't work. I've lost 30kgs...clearly what I'm doing works so how bout you keep your uninvited opinions to yourself.
I'm interested to hear how you go on Isagenix. Good luck. Don't listen to haters. I'll be checking back to hear the update of your progress. |

There is a reason why people who focus on diet aids rather than food changes post positive responses only in the first month or so - and why so many who have tried them come back to MFP later, saying that they have tried everything and are now willing to eat better and exercise more.
That reason being that quick results are often fleeting. I have yet to see a single long-term weight loss story on MFP that involves just diet aids. If you are changing your eating habits along with this pill, then you are capable of letting the work talk for itself, instead of pawning your dedication onto a pill.

I'm doing the 9 day i'm on my second shake day. It is really hard to keep under 600 and you are extremly hungry so who ever tells you otherwise is not true. Its manageable to a degree, but you really have to fight your self to not go over I weigh 135 5"2 so im not over weight but would like to get healthier and loose the tummy a litte. Tomorrow is my first cleanse day im extremly nervous I wont be able to do it. Not eat for two whole days it seems insane but Im going to atleast try it. Has anyone done the whole not eating for two days and how did you feel?

Regardless of any shake, pill, etc you may take your body will not get proper nutrients and you will just be harming yourself. You don't need to cleanse. Not eating something for a day or two won't do you any favours and won't cleanse your body. Your body needs food. Isagenix isn't magic. It won't make you lose anymore weight than you would by eating PROPERLY and getting in exercise. It also will not cleanse any magical toxins from your body. |
