TOPIC: Fitbit and Yoga

I recently got a Fitbit (as in today is my first day of having this baby stuck in my pocket) and I recently got into yoga (as in I got a Groupon to a studio by my house and now I am hooked for life). And tips for “tracking” this activity? I really am not taking any steps, so should I just continue to log this in manually?

Also, any Fitbit tips or successes? Has anyone used their food log and if so, how do you like it compared to this site?

I'm not sure how to track the activity...but, food tracking in MFP is far easier and I wouldn't use Fitbit for that. The totals for each meal are added to the Fitbit site from MFP anyway so why confuse the issue.

I am also a new user, just got my Fitbit last Sunday...I absolutely LOVE it! love

Hello and congratulations on your fitbit. I have one that I really love. As for yoga and fitbit/mfp calories......Click on the community tab on search and type in yoga and calories.
So maybe that's how you can track it on mfp . For fitbit to see it I don't know and that seems to be a bit tricky. MFP does have a fitbit group. Good luck and when you do find the answer, I would love to hear it. Have fun! flowerforyou

Their food log is missing many items so I only log food on MFP. I also wear my Fitbit during yoga and it does fine because it still detects the motion of your body and the steps you take to get into poses. If you let the Fitbit Calorie Adjustment come over for other exercise, you can do that as well for the yoga, or log it here and it'll be reduced from your Fitbit Calorie Adjustment.
