TOPIC: Hyperlinks in status

May 16, 2012 18:35
Hmmm...
Can anyone tell me if it's possible to insert html tags (and have them function) into MFP's status box?
I am particularly interested in hyperlinks.
Or is it server side only?

hyperlinks in MFP will link just fine to something on MFP but external links are broken (turns out just in the forums, not your status as asked about in the OP)

ie

Yes, I can see that they work on here:
<a href="http://www.myfitnesspal.com/">MFP</a>
<link="http://www.myfitnesspal.com/">MFP</link>
<hyperlink="http://www.myfitnesspal.com/">MFP</hyperlink>

But I am interested in the text box that allows one to update one's status.

Actually, that sucks... MFP does not use standard tagging... hmmm...

which i just came back into update, I pasted that same "strength training calories" URL on my status and it was a nonfunctioning link.. you could copy the text and visit the site manually but status doesn't hyperlink URLs

Well, thanks for trying.
I thought, perhaps, I was doing something wrong.
I wonder what the code is... I am sure there's a back door. It seems to be html based, well, html2.

Meh, I am too tired to try to figure it out, much less enthusiastic about breaking it.
It'd be neat to hyperlink from the textbox, though. #justsayin'
