Isn't it a bit odd when you see someone outside the gym in their normal/work clothes? Sometimes they're wearing a suit/business attire and it's like WHOA...wasn't expecting that.
Have you ever received a reaction like that when someone sees you in the "real world?" Have you ever reacted that way when seeing someone else?

Haha, I know what you mean! I feel like that at work also! I'm a nurse, so when I see people out of their scrubs, it's like "Whoa, you own jeans? And sweaters? And t-shirts? WTF? And you don't wear Crocs every single day??"

A couple instances, there was this one guy i used to see in the gym frequently then he stopped going so the next time i ran into him at the store he was a little heavier and it was weird cuz he was thinking that i was thinking "been a while huh". Another was with a girl from the gym i went on a date with, it was odd seeing her dressed casually after i've been spoiled by yoga pants and shorts the past month. And also when i was in college i found it weird when professors would be working out

Mostly people in my everyday life see me fairly done up especially lately, so when they see me in gym clothes with my hair all frizzy and covered in sweat, they say "whoa." So, I guess it's the opposite for me.

When people from the gym see me in a suit, or even non-gym clothing, they respond as if I am not allowed to be in non-gym attire LOL!

I've since swapped gyms...but at the last gym I used to go to, there was this meathead (who I thought was adorable...great eyes...arms...butt...you get the drift) who I used to only ever see in gym clothes.
Then the country races last year I walked past him...he was in a suit with pink tie...not only did he pull of the pink tie really well, my jaw dropped. *swoon* |

Not something I see much at my current gym, but seeing someone out of context can be disconcerting.
