I've been waiting and waiting for my days logged in to come up on my newsfeed, however I have realised that you have to actually log out for it to count. I usually just leave it up on the screen so it hasn't been counting, and I have actually tracked every day for 28 days, but it hasn't counted :(
It would be good if you didn't have to remember to sign out and then in again, and if it just counted the number of days tracked.... Or if there is any way to backdate this now, as I feel a bit cheated!!

yes, I agree. I like to see how many days I've been doing this, but life has happened a few times in the process and I had to skip a few days logging. Now my count is messed up. I wish there was a way to fix it.

I have never logged out once. I created my account and never have to log back in.
Have you checked your settings? Could be that you have it set so that doesn't show on your wall. |

That doesn't sound right. I have MFP open all day long and I've gone to bed several nights without closing out of the browser and i'm pretty sure count is accurate.
Check settings

All you have to do is exit/enter the website or simply refresh the website by clicking on MyFitnessPal banner on top left.

When the news feed says a user has "logged" for X days it means they've "completed" their food diaries for X days. It has nothing to do with being logged in or out of the site.
Are you completing your entries at the end of the day?

QUOTE: really? I never log out of the program, but I do log off my laptop every night...does that make the difference? Same here. To the OP, do you purposely "complete for the day" when logging food? That is one of the things that is used to make a count of your continual days. |

Are you completing your entries at the end of the day? The number of days logged in counts just that, days logged in. You don't need to complete. Do you have your news feed settings activated to report days logged in? Settings-> Automatic News Feed Settings-> Make sure "I have logged in for several days in a row" is checked, then click on "save changes" at the bottom.

Are you completing your entries at the end of the day? The only time it hasn't counted my days is if I've not logged any food for a day. Even if I don't "complete" the entry, I still get credit for logging that day.

That's happened to me too - I would log in via my BlackBerry which is ALWAYS on and I always have a page open with MFP til I forgot to log my cals in one day when I first started. I felt cheated and I hadn't lost anything in a week and a half or so (felt cheated then too ) and so I stopped logging in for a couple of days. The days that had the page open and didn't feel like logging (a couple of times) but I made status updates counted so it was weird. Several times when I knew I logged in, I somehow was logged out and didn't know til the next day so it threw me off again. I've been a member for 65 days now and I'm back to 15! lol. It's annoying.

I stopped clicking the complete entry button months ago but it still tracks my days. I would complete my entry and then have a late night snack or add something I forgot so I just stopped using it.

OP - any entry you make will refresh the page and therefore register you for that day - you don't have to complete or even add food... you could just look at the forums.

Wonder if there was a glitch!

Are you completing your entries at the end of the day? This isn't true... I have had weeks at a time where I haven't logged my food but Ive been on the site and my days are at 100 something,

To the other OP sorry the web doesn't work that way. Close your browser from time to time. You don't actually have to log out by clicking the log out button. |
