TOPIC: creddit for weight-training

I appreciate how calorie "credits" are given for different types of cardio activities. Is there any way for you to give similar calorie credits for weight-trainng - based on weight / reps /weight compared to persons weight?

Have you thought about getting a heart rate monitor that also tracks calories burned? I don't think MFP will make the addition for calories burned for weight-lifting, BUT you can add your own calories burned to the "notes" section of your daily workout log. You'd be able to accurately track it everyday :)

Edit: Also, calories burned while weight lifting isn't just about your heart rate, so that wouldn't get you a very accurate estimate. If you search around, there are different ways of estimating calories burned during strength training, but you need to honestly represent the intensity of your workout when choosing those formulas. If you're doing something with 40 reps and 5 pound dumbbells, selecting a formula based on "bodybuilding" or "strength training" wouldn't be right.
