Hey Everyone! Just finished my workout and it was AWESOME! I am so blessed to have so many AWESOME workouts! I am sure everyone is tired of hearing me say that but it is the only word that can express how good the workout is! Today I did ARX w/extra abs and 1 on 1 Bun Shaper. My booty and legs are already sore... But a good sore...

Well, I hope everyone has a great day and excellent workout!

Well, I missed out on that bike I was going to get. I guess I'll just have to wait.

Just finished Plyo - only 538 burned, but I noticed my HRM registered 0 a LOT. So it's not an accurate count. I only have a 30 min walk planned for after work. I hope everyone has a great workout.

Good Monday Morning Everyone!

Well some good news is that I got a gym membership yesterday!

My bf has one and now my bestfriend and her husband got one too so now Sarah and I can workout together!

Sarah has also had a personal trainer for about 5 years so she knows exactly what to do and is training me!

We are planning a trip to vegas in April or May I know its a long time away but it gives me more time to get to my goal weight and to save for tons of shopping!

Well have a great workout everyone!
Jenn

Emails happy

*** Today's Tip: OVERCOMING A FITNESS PLATEAU
If you've been exercising for a few months and have stopped seeing
improvement, you may have already obtained most of the benefits of
your current routine. It may be time for a change. Keep things simple
by changing one thing at a time. Consider a modest increase in the
weight you lift, train more often or vary your exercises. You can also
vary the type and intensity of your cardio workouts and the order of
your strength exercises. A simple adjustment may be all your body
needs to challenge it once again.

*** Today's Tip: SPORTS IN THE SUN
Does your sport require a lot of time outdoors? Skin cancer is no
laughing matter. Stay sun-safe and reduce your cancer risks. Try to
schedule your activities before 10 a.m. or after 4 p.m. to avoid
strong ultraviolet (UV) rays. If you have to be outside during these
hours, stay in shaded areas whenever possible and apply a waterproof
sunscreen with an SPF (sun protection factor) of at least 15 that
provides broad-spectrum (UVA and UVB) protection. If you worry that
using sunscreen might leave you low in vitamin D, consult your
physician or a dietitian.

*** Today's Tip: EDIBLE FLOWERS
Fresh flowers make a beautiful garnish for almost any salad, meal or
dessert. Some are even edible if obtained from a safe source. Buy
edible flowers from a gourmet shop or other vendor who can verify that
the flowers were not sprayed with pesticides or exposed to toxic
chemicals. Some edible flowers include dill, dandelions, jasmine,
lavender, lilac, mint, nasturtiums, rosemary and roses. Remember, not
every flower or every part of a flower is edible. If uncertain,
consult a good reference book or gourmet shop.

*** Today's Tip: GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR FITNESS CENTER EQUIPMENT
Are you new to the exercise machines in your fitness center?
Familiarize yourself with them. Ask a fitness professional how to
adjust the equipment for your size, and how to change speed and
resistance settings. You should also learn how to quickly
stop-motor-powered machines, such as treadmills, in case of an
emergency. The staff is there is help you, so utilize their expertise
to get the best results from your workouts.

Hey Everyone! Workout is done! When I got home and skimmed through the posts on my thread on beachbody, I realized that in Recovery Week, you are supposed to do cardio and of course...yoga ughhh! I had scheduled my workouts this week to include Upper+ and Total Body+ and the normal ARX w/extra abs. I noted looking at Tony's schedule, there is no ab workouts in recovery week. I think I will add some abs on Tuesday and Thursday. I changed tonights Upper+ to CardioX and had an AWESOME workout!!! It just felt so great with all the different stuff in it! Tomorrow I am doing 1 on 1 Plyo Legs. I just love that one too!

Well, now I need to hit the shower as I am soaked and then eat some dinner!

Today's health email...

*** Today's Tip: SUMMERTIME GRILLING
Do you enjoy grilling outdoors during the summer? For many, nothing
can compare with the taste of a meal cooked on the barbie. Studies
show that grilling meats at very high temperatures can create
heterocyclic amines (HCAs), chemicals that can increase cancer risks.
The American Cancer Society provides the following tips when grilling
meat, whether indoors or outside. Avoid overcooking to the point where
pieces look charred and black. Choose lean cuts and trim excess fats.
Cook over foil rather than directly over hot coals or flames. Also,
marinating, particularly in citrus- or vinegar-based liquids, can
reduce HCAs by as much as 96 percent.

Hey Everyone! Just finished my workout! I did some ab work on the ab sling and then did 1 on 1 Plyo Legs! My legs were screaming in the workout! It was FABULOUS! (thought I would shake things up with a different word than awesome all the time.. ) I started to get annoyed by all the talking Tony does so I would jump in and start on the next exercise and ended up adding 10 to 15 more reps. I did that on almost every one and also added my 8 lb medicine ball to alot of the workouts too! My legs are now COMPLETE and TOTAL toast!!! I just LOVE that workout! It has to be the BEST leg workout around!!! (besides 1 on 1 Bun Shaper)... Tomorrow I am doing Kenpo Cardio+. Another GREAT workout! Now I need to hit the shower cause I am soaked and then make some Tilapia for dinner. Be back soon to catch up...

DJ and Paula: WOW you are both doing AWESOME! Way to go on the Plyo! If plyo seems to be getting easier, buy the P90X+ and do Intervals+! It makes plyo look really easy or Insanity is coming out and it makes them both feel like a piece of cake! I did Insanity Plyo Cardio and thought I was literally going to die!!laugh

Good Morning Everyone! I slept really good last night and woke up to loud thunder (shaking the windows) lightening and heavy downpour. We are supposed to reach 98 today with scattered storms, just like yesterday as we had some scattered storms in the afternoon. It makes it feel super humid and icky...

Well, sorry so short but gotta get to work. I hope everyone has a great day and excellent workout!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAULA!!! flowerforyou drinker

I hope you have an AWESOME DAY!!!

Well, I did Yoga X this morn. just under 500 cals burned.

*** Today's Tip: MODIFY YOUR FAST FOOD
As a food consumer, don’t be afraid to ask for special requests when
you eat out. Even fast-food restaurants often allow you to modify
standard items for free or a small fee. For example, consider ordering
a modified bean and cheese burrito. Ask them to hold the cheese and
add extra chopped tomatoes, onions and shredded lettuce. The result—a
high fiber, lower fat version of a fast-food classic.

Hey Everyone and looks like a lot of new faces too.

I apologize for how long it has been since I have updated or got on here to write. I have been working an extra job for last month or two so time is pretty limited.

I have still been getting most of my workouts in, been running alot and doing the p90x weight training. Just have a hard time doing the cardio when it is so nice outside. I also have been working at the normal time of the workouts so I apologize that I am not wiht you guys very often. been waking up at 4:30 and getting my workouts in before work.

My weight loss is going awesome. The 6 month contest I was in ended last saturday and I weighed in at 198 which is 60 pounds down from my starting weight in January. I have lost 23.5 % of my beginning weight. I did end up winning this by a large gap next closest weight was 17.5%

Thank you very much everyone.

Good Morning Everyone! I slept really good last night and woke up to severe thunderstorms again this morning! Tasha was under my feet all morning! Mike had to go in early again for a new class that came in and I had to let the dogs out when I left. I felt bad as it was thundering, lightening and hailing! Oh well....

Jeremy: As I told you on my thread on BB, I am SUPER PROUD of you and your HUGE accomplishments. I knew you could do it and you did! Way to go!! Keep it up! Awesome job on working out that early in the mornings. I can barely get up at 5:20 to get ready for work. Any earlier would be a shock for me! Keep it up!

Well, I hope everyone has a great day and excellent workout!
