Hi
I'm still new to this site and to using message boards, but I love mfp. I've already introduced several friends and relatives to mfp because I think it has so many great features, is user friendly and FREE. Thank you!
I do have a question. My husband has also become interested in mfp, but can't log on because we have the same e-mail address. Since he's retired and no longer has e-mail at work, he just uses mine. Is there some way for him to set up his own mfp account or to register his own user name even though we share the same e-mail?
Again, many thanks!

it is easy and free to create a new email address: go to yahoo, or google(gmail) and in under 5 minutes you can have a new email address for hubby to use and create a new profile for MFP. He doesn't have to use it for anything else, it is super easy. send me a message if you are having trouble.

I have recently changed computers and my current computer wont show the box on the right hand where you usually select the food amount. Is there a program or setting I need to change for this to work. Thanks

Hi Mike,

Can you please tell me what I need to do so that when I put in my daily calories it will take me to the current day. Each time I logout (and I do click on the green area for done for today) and I log back it takes me back to mid January.

Thanks

Swissmiss,

To see your messages

1. Click "My Home"
2. Click "Mail"

_____________________

And you also need to logout of your MFP acct to see the friends request.

1. Logout
2. Log back in and you should be able to see who requested you as a friend.

Hope this helps you. Keep us posted if it worked. It should.

You're so welcome Swissmiss. Good for you, it worked and you figured it out. Feel free to ask any questions you have. We'll try and help out.

It's actually easier to start a new thread to ask questions so that more posters will jump in to help.

If you ever need to ask another tech question, next time, try this:

1.Click "Technical Support/Need Help"
2. Then, you'll see a green button "New Thread" Click that
3. Subject box, fill that in
4. Type your question.

Then voila, lots of posters will jump on and try to answer your question. The reason why is that not many of us look in the Frequently Answered Question Thread.

We mostly look at the new threads posted with new subject line.

So, hopefully, whatever technical question you post with a new thread. One of us would know the answer.

Also, see up top, there's a "Help" button. Click that. That has a lot of useful answers to common questions.

Good luck and wish you my best.

I got all my questions answered and got the help I needed. I'm looking forward to some of the changes that will be made in the future (like making changes to saved meals)

Hi mike, I just joined last week, and am really enjoying so far. I'm sure I'm missing something, but I can't figure out how to insert a food from my " my foods" and add it to my diary for the day. I would assume thats why I keep an ongoing list so I can just add, but there doesn't seem to be a tab to insert it. I stare at the screen looking at a food, but have nowhere to go with it??

technically challenged!!

no you cannot add yoru foods that way. mike has said he is working on it, but it isnt available yet.

What i do is name my meals with my name first so i can find it. If you mean you added a new food, just type the first few words and it shoudl come up

hope this helpsflowerforyou

One year from today, you'll look back at this moment. How you feel about it depends on the choices you make today

yes- easily! click on "tools" on your browser, not the tools on MFP. Then click "internet options" then type MFPs address to replace your old homepage.

no, you can't click it once the day has past- but clicking it is optional anyway, all it does is give you a basic understanding of how "on track" you were for the day.

http://www.myfitnesspal.com/forums/signature

Then highlight and delete the

It appears you copy/pasted it somehow.

Mike - I have a sprint "Instinct" phone which gets the regular web. I can get to our site, but when I try to log it it says" not currently on site so I can't be authenticated. I would really like to be able to visit the site via my phone so I can do so whereever I am - it will help keep me on track. Can you tell us how to do this? Since I am on the web and entering my passwords like normal - why can't I get in?
