Am I suppose to key the calories as well? Same goes for the exercise. Need help! Thank you.
Hello again
I just came across your first post and the original question you had.
When you add in foods to the MFP Food site itself...yes if at all possible it's most helpful to add as complete of information as you possibly can. Brand, serving size, protein, carbs, sodium, fats etc. per serving. This way when someone else goes to add a food to their own food diary and doesn't know the info they can look on the MFP food section and see if it's already there, thus saving us all from putting that item in.
If you are speaking of adding your foods to your own personal daily food diary...you can click the MFP foods to see if someone else has already placed it in there before you and you can use it from there.
If you personal food are not in the data base yet, you may add them using the brand of rice you are using, the brand name of vegtables, etc. If you are purchasing foods in bulk which you likely might be in regards to rice. For your personal food diary , figure out how much you are planning on eating for that meal or snack and if you don't know the nutrient contents you can look them up if you are unsure.
I hope this is what you're speaking of.... if not I apologize. You mention chinese hamburgers, if this is an item you make yourself, figure out what items you add to create this food item and you put down each item and the nutrition contents of each, same with curry, nasi lemak, etc.
If what I've shared so far hasn't been quite what you're looking for....please do ask the question again and I'll try and help or someone else on the MFP boards can try as well when more folks are up and about this morning.
In regards to excercise, if you have done cardio, you look up the excercise and see if it's already listed if not, you can add it and what calories you've burned if you know that information.
Has this been at all helpful?
Please feel free to ask more questions and I'm sure one of us will be able to help you get through this so it will be easier in the future. It's a handy site and with a bit of practice you'll be find in no time.
Glad you decided to join us over here on MFP
