I recently purchased a small 7" tablet by Samsung. I have a lot of trouble trying to scan codes to add to my diary. It won't do it so I have to resort to my iphone. Very blurry and out of focus. Any help with this will be appreciated. Thank you

Hi,

Can you provide the exact model of your Samsung tablet, and the version of Android it's running?

Also, please note that the Android scanner software differs from the iPhone version, and the tablet must be held in portrait mode, with the red line of the scanner image running horizontally through the vertical bars of the UPC label

Hello,
I also have a Samsung Galaxy 16 Gig Android Version 3.2 7 inch tablet and I just created my account with my fitness pal today. I am able to use the food diary okay on the regular computer laptop, but when I log onto the tablet the diary (none of the functions actually) work. Does this have something to do with the google privacy? Is this app not suitable for the Galaxy tablet and maybe that's not why it's working?
Feel free to email or post. Thanks!

Not quite the same but I have a Samsung Galaxy Mini Phone, struggled to begin with with bar code scanner until I took anything I wanted to scan to a bright light, in a dim light it does not work. Other than that have no problems with the app running.

If you are still having a problem with the app on your Samsung Galaxy, and would like to "test" a version of the app for us to see if that helps, we would be greatly appreciative.

Can you please contact us at http://www.myfitnesspal.com/welcome/contact_us and request to be involved in the beta testing.

Thanks!
