Is there a way for MyFitnessPal account to sync with my Withings Scale data? I also have a FitBit linked to my account now. Fitbit allows the Withings Scale data to automatically be pulled into Fitbit. Will the weight data from Fitbit be automatically be transferred here or do I need to make a separate Withings Scale connection here as well?

Thanks...

Hi,

Integration with Withings scale is a popular request. We've had introductory talks with the WIthing folks, but have no firm plans or timelines in the works at present.

Is there any way to pull the data from the Fitbit site? They already have full integration with the Withings Scale.

Has FitBit removed integration? I know they have their own wifi scale now and I don't see the link that withings directs you to for adding it!

I just ran into this (fitbit integration with withings scale). Its gone from the website, but when I emailed fitbit about it, they told me "when we updated our web site, the link disappeared and our engineers are working on it"... They DID give me a link to set it up with a withings scale though, which is:

https://www.fitbit.com/weight/withings#

In any case, I was looking at myfitnesspal for the very extensive food database, and wanted to get everything all integrated. As the other user mentioned, my fitbit is already pulling my data from my scale, but will myfitnesspal pull that data in as well or does it need a separate connection? It looks like it might need a separate connection, but I am not sure.

Currently the only information shared with/from Fitbit (according to the FAQs) is the following:

- Calories Burned
- Calories Eaten
- Cardio Exercise
- Water Consumption
- Fitbit Steps And Fitbit Sleep Minutes

I can't imagine that it would be too much harder to add another line of code to include weight.

Just going to keep bumping the Withings threads.

"Conversations" have been going on for 3 months now between Withings and MFP. I don't understand how all these other sites can have integration with the scale, yet MFP, which is one of the most popular of all iOS apps, does not. It's just frustrating.

I mean, just look at all the other sites that integrate!

Agreed. It's crazy that there is no integration here or with any wireless scale.

Totally agree, it seems like there is more too it than just time. MFP does not let anything or anyone, not even FitBit update weight on their site, I suspect they consider this their most important asset and are not willing to open it to anyone.

I would guess that MFP believes if you can update your weight on another site you will stop coming to their site daily, but what they don't realize is that their database and forums are now what captures people. What they also don't realize is that because of this, more and more people I talk to are trying to use other sites because of these "handcuffs"

I use FitBit and would never go to the site because I get what I need with it auto updating MFP for exercise. I would continue to use MFP and never go to Withings or FitBit if there was a connector that just passed this info for me.... as it stands, I will go to FitBit daily becuase I have to and eventually if the DB gets better I will switch (as much as I love MFP)

It's a shame, I just started myfitnessplan 2 days ago. I'll be switching to an app that's compatible with my new scale.
June 3, 2012 7:38 AM
Has compatibility been added yet?

I love MFP. I also have a fitbit and the Aria scale. I would certainly be thrilled if they all "talked" to each other.
With that said, it only takes a moment to take my Aria weight and enter it into MFP. I'll continue to track most everything here and let fitbit catch up.

I have been thinking more about this and I suspect that MFP may also be concerned about the people who weigh in multiple times a day, this doesn't really fit with MFP or the news feed.

My advice (if this is the case) is:
1. Make the default behavior that it takes the lowest weight for the day
2. If there is a way to give people options then first weigh-in for the day

I want to to use MFP, but use LoseIt instead for this very reason.

Bumping again...
I've been a DailyBurn member for a while and Withings integration is nice (when it works...which appears to be DB's problem more often than not).

Since I have a Withings scale, and know the "integration" is essentially a web-services API, I was really surprised to see that it's not supported here.

Hey Folks,

Just wanted to update you that we are working on the integration of the Fitbit Aria Scale. We are in the initial testing stages, and do not have an exact timeline for when it will go live, but we are absolutely working on it.

Hope this update helps!

Cheers,
Scott

P.S. I have no current update on the Withing's Scale, my apologies.

Just wanted to add my support to Withings integration. After testing a bunch of these apps I'm certain MFB is the best but I had already purchased a the scale. I would love if they talked.

Thanks

+1 for Withings Integration.

My Fitness Pal is a great product that would be made even better with Withings integration. Its nice to see you're working on FitBIt integration, but it seems that Withings is more widely used.
