We need cardio counts for kinect activities!

I agree! Recently got a Kinect and it's a lot of fun, but I'm a little disappointed there isn't an option for logging the calorie count for it here (especially since they have an option for Wii games like Wii Fit). I would really like to be able to log my Kinect playing on MyFitnessPal.

I would love this, I'm just starting to get / play more games for my Kinect.

I'd like to see calorie counts for Dance Central if possible. :-)

I completely agree! Since Wii games are in the database why not include Kinect games? I have the Zumba Rush! game for the Kinect and would love to be able to add my time and calories burned.

Most of my dancing is with Kinect. I think of how my heart rate feels, if I'm sweating etc. Then I use an OUTside site to calculate calories most of the time based on my own body makeup. I use only the Fitness burns in DC2 and on DC1 I'm disappointed in how they measure a lot of stuff for the game. But in DC1 they do at least allow you see caloric burn during a game based on weight. It's not perfect. None of the calculators are perfect. :( I count it as Dancing, and one of the sites I go to lists Video Game dancing as an activity.

Like I said, no calculator on any site will likely be perfect, but until I get an HRM this is what I do. On this site, check the At the Gym tab:

Activity Promoting Video Game (E.G., Wii Fit), Light Effort (E.G., Balance, Yoga)
Activity Promoting Video Game (E.G., Wii Fit), Moderate Effort (E.G., Aerobic, Resistance)
Activity Promoting Video/Arcade Game (E.G., Exergaming, Dance Dance Revolution), Vigorous Effort

I think DC1 where I might do Easy mode for now because I'm not too darn coordinated with my FMS I probably hit right between the last 2 with it being moderate to vigorous.

I agree! I love exercising with my Kinect and was bummed to see it's not on the list here. Your Shape: Fitness Evolved and Dance Central are awesome, and even Kinect sports and Fruit Ninja can get you going.

Want Kinect option!
