Could those of us here to gain weight have some things adjusted to work for us; such as the ticker and our goals of gaining weight instead of losing? The ticker constantly reads "0 lbs to go". This is not true because some of us have worked really hard gaining and yet our tickers reflect nothing unless you lose weight! sad grumble

I started with low weight of 108lbs and been here for a while yet I have managed to gain up to 114 lbs which for me is a huge deal. I have had such a hard time gaining and I'm very proud of every single pound. I would love for my lil frog to be moving in the direction of my goals, but instead he is right where I started. This is soooo frustrating it makes me feel like I haven't done a thing. I really have I've met one mini goal gain to 110 lbs. My next goal is hit 115.

If it were switched most would be frustrated and upset that the ticker didn't reflect the weight loss.

This is a fitness site so why can't it cater to all of us - both weight loss and weight gain instead of just weight loss??? Lets' please make it fitness for all. drinker

Dear Sir,

I love your website. As a Type II Diabetic it would also be helpful for me to have additional tracking columns; I would suggest having additional tracking options to include but not limited to:

1. Vitamins taken.
2. Medications taken.
3. Blood Pressure
4. Blood Sugar readings and time taken
5. Diet and Meal Planning by Kcalorie goals per day; example 1000/1200/1500/2000/2500 etc.
6. Diet variations by meal goals.
7. Diets by affordability.
8. Resource Library for supplemental use/dangers of overuse?
9. Links to other fitness/health resources/ etc.
10. Option to automatically rotate saved pictures to your facepage daily/weekly/ other??
11. Simple ways to improve knowledge and understanding of body metabolism and age & exercise impact on metabolism.
12. Challenge members to donate $1.00 per month to a selected charity from MyFitnessPal; Select 12 charities that promote health and medical/nutritional research. Some examples could include but not limited to: Diabetes Research; Obesity; Heart Disease; Insulin Resistence; Heathy lifestyles; Children's Hospitals; Cancer Research;Breast Cancer Research;.......

ll of those excellent ideas. I add my vitamins on one of my mid meals would rather have a section to add these.
Also add Fibromyalgia we desperately need more research so we can get better answers and ways to manage this. Believe me if you have this you understand what we're going through.flowerforyou Yes we are sick even though we don't look sick. We don't want to be sick anymore, but to get better treatments we need more research.sad

What about a section just for dvd workouts? Or at home workouts? Something to help facilitate all the jillian michaels., insanity, p90x stuff to be in the same section.

do you mean with your food diary? With the cabs, calories, protein, etc.? You can change the default and track your sugar.

Omt, what about something that deals with customizing mfp. Just judging by this thread it sounds Ike a lot of people just don't. Know how to customize or utilize a lot of the functions on here.

I have a suggestion - My favorite workouts are Jillian Michaels 30 day shred and 30 day ripped workouts as well as tony hortons 10 minute workouts. BUT to input workouts it needs to be cardio or strength when those workouts are a little of both.

I really wish you had a workout option to cover the most common ones: PX90 workouts, JIllian Michaels, Billy Blanks so on and so forth. Just a suggestion

I would like to see the website upgraded. The app is great, but the website won't let you see the calories until you already add something, making it difficult to see if I chose the right item. The website is so clunky; it needs to be streamlined. It don't like how things like total protein, fat, ect are displayed across the bottom. It makes it difficult to see which one I'm looking at. There should be something in the corner that looks similar to the app's "daily" tab.

One thing about the app I don't like is that there isn't a "today" button. So if I scroll to a month from today I have to scroll all the way back or choose which date I want to go back to.

I don't think this is the right section to post this info, but maybe someone will read it.

Which leads me to... A suggestion forum,please.

Here's mine: to be able to add photos to our new feed status. My online personal MFP support group helps me a lot. Would like to be able to share with them only.

- A forum specifically for people to find new friends (there are always so many of those on the board)
- A place to find local people and post meet-up type things

Yeah, it would be cool if there was a way to also connect with MFPers locally in your area (for athletic, social and healthy eating events) - I went to looking for this and it was LAME. MFP seems so much better since it is fitness focused.

Hi Steven,
I joined the website yestuerday and I LOVE IT!

I just want to try and find out why only cardio workouts translate when it comes to calories burned and not strenght training?
Also my strenght training workouts do not count towards my dayly and weekly goals for time and calories burnet. Why is that?

Or am I doing something wrong when I fill it in?

I would appreciate your feedback.

I logged in to myfitnessoal today for the first time in a week - and all of a sudden all of my friends, measurements and tracks are gone. EVERYTHING is gone. So I prefer you might have one to talk about/report the problems with this site.

I'M not doing well planning workouts. so I'd like to see one section where people post their weekly routines... maybe with video links...
it could include suggestions on which muscle groups to work out together for maximum effect..

Dear Steven,

First of all, I love Myfitnesspal, it really helps motivate me because I don't have to do any math :)

It really is a great website, however, there is always room for improvement, right? Because I really think Myfitnesspal could expand the diary by having the diary talk back (so to speak). We already log in foods and exercise, so why not take Myfitnesspal to the next level and have the diary give suggestions for improvement and healthy alternatives. Say I skip a breakfast, and haven't yet heard how bad that is for you--the diary could be used as a teaching tool to let me know that it isn't wise and why. The diary could also suggest a healthy, low calorie breakfast for me to eat tomorrow. Or if I eat a horribly greasy type of pizza (or greasier than usual) and the diary could suggest a more heathy brand type (if there is such a thing) or something else entirely that tastes good and fills you up without filling your quota for the day. The diary could also give out fitness facts and/or discount the myths/prove them right. Have fun with it!

I never liked writing in my diary (It was a real one, not a fitness one) because the conversation was always one-sided. But now with the internet, many things are possible. A "talking" diary would be the perfect teaching tool, if you can figure out how to get the software to respond to logs individually/personally.

I believe there is always room for improvement, and that includes myself, not just your software. I would like you to expand your website so that I can expand myself (knowledge-wise, not litterally. I am here to tone/lose wieght, not gain it.) :)
