If you're trying to delete form your diary I'm not sure why it isn't working.
You click on the dash - in the red circle to the right and voila , they are gone.

If you meant your 'my foods' section, your correct. It does say you can delete from there but I haven't worked out how to yet. That I agree is a nuisance.
Hope that helps a bit.

Can you clarify the steps you're taking? Are you clicking the Food tab, then the "My Foods" sub-tab?

If you click on the foods in this list, you will see either "Edit" or "Edit" and "Delete" buttons. Foods that have been shared to the database, or that are in My Foods because they are edited versions of foods in the database, cannot currently be removed from the My Foods list.

If you're attempting to delete foods from the list in another way (for instance, with the delete key on your keyboard) please specify?

I'm having a similar problem. When I hit the red minus sign next to the food in the diary, it says "unknown food diary entry." It also won't let me edit the food- otherwise I would just set it to zero servings. Anyone else have this problem?

Thanks, we're looking into this for you.

For me ,it's the fact that I can't delete foods that I have corrected from my list.
I don't want to delete them from the data base but only from 'my foods' list.
I was helping to do spelling corrections before Xmas thinking it was a MFP request.
Once I realised both, they were going to 'my food' list & it wasn't a staff member request, I stopped.
An option to remove the foods from my list would be great.
Thanks

http://www.myfitnesspal.com/food/add_to_diary?meal=0 so when you track food to add to the diary for that day. a list of' most used', 'recent''my foods' and 'my meals' foods comes up (all the food we've added to our diary for like the last week or so) . I would like to delete food from those lists.. I
what I want to do is go get rid of all the junk food I've logged, so I can just have my healthy foods up there. For ease of getting to foods that I eat everyday, for adding to my diary..
Actually would be nice to be able to wipe all those tabs so I can start over like when I first signed up for MFP.. But how to I just delete them? I only want about 1/4 of the food in those tabs anymore.. so yeah...
thanks

Agreed it would be nice to delete some older entries from the "recent" pages with a delete button the same as that on the "most used" pages.
