This would be a huge feature. It would rank up there with integrating with Fitocracy or Jefit, or any of the other fitness apps to automatically track your workouts/calories burned so you don't have to manually log it elsewhere.

I wholeheartedly support this!

I'd like to see this request filled.

While either mentally adding X calories on lifting days or using a custom exercise helps, some people also adjust their fat/carb ratios when cycling calories, and this is where having a second goal setting would be great. For example, you might eat more carbs and fewer fats on a training day, and fewer carbs and more fats on a rest day. So calories alone doesn't reflect that.

The app could allow you to set up a second goal profile easily enough; then it's a matter of either picking certain days which have each, or even better allowing the user to choose a schedule like "1 training, 2 rest, repeat" kind of option, where specific days of the week aren't targeted.

I truly hope this is considered as an upgrade!

I'm also using a script to adjust my calories and macros here on MFP each day. It would be great if this was a native feature and the numbers stuck to each day instead of updating across all of the daily logs!

PLEASE!!! I'm on leangains and I'd LOVE this!!

Not only calorie allowances, but macronutrient goals, change depending on your activity with a lot of popular diets that a LOT of people are doing with a great deal of success. Supporting that would be fantastic, and I would absolutely pay a monthly fee to have it!

Same here! I am on leangains, and would LOVE it if my macros didn't change unless i wanted them to!

Yes you can just work it out in your head repeatedly but this would be a nice simple feature option that would help you do that and I can't imagine would be that difficult to add?

As a coder, I can say this would be difficult to add. Not impossible, but it's not a simple change. You would now have two different options: those people who want the same calories per day, based on a calculation of BMR and weight loss goal, and those people who want to customize their calories that may or may not use BMR and weight loss goal (right there you're looking at possibly 2 more alternative ways of setting up your food page).

Something that sounds simply usually isn't if you want to do it right.

Actually, as a coder as well, this is not that difficult to set up. In even the simplest of cases, they could merely make a conditional (such as the one they already have set up in their goals section) that would allow for multiple days of different logging. It would not be more difficult just larger. They actually look like they already have it set up where they could add a third option that would do just that in the goals.

Personally I would love to have this feature as I like record EVERYTHING with my diet and exercise (haha) and I have different goals for different days.

Someone that does calorie cycling here once gave the tip of creating an "exercise" in your exercises list and use that to adjust your daily calories. I believe they stated that the had one named for each day of the week and then would just enter the exercise and the number of calories over the base net was for that day.

So, in your case, you could enter an exercise called "Friday" that you could add to your Friday log and enter the calories burned as 200 (assuming that 1400 is your base net) and then one called "Saturday" that you would add to Saturdays and entere 400 calories burned.

Then you can see how many net calories you have for that day without constantly having to change the main account goals all the time.

This still would not fix the problem of macro nutrients distribution. Carb cycling only adjusts carbs, so protein and fat stays the same all week, with carbs going up or down, depending on the day. Inputting exercise would just make calories go up or down across the board.

+1 for this feature! Does anyone here use a custom script (for MFP) that's helping them with their LG goals?

just do it

Yes please!

Also I would love to be able to enter a grams amount for each macro, rather than having to chose a percentage.

+1 daily customizable macronutrient goals.

honestly, don't overcomplicate it : )

There are so many individual variables ...we all are doing diff things.

You can easily set up a custom goal. If you want to go over or under from what your diary is showing as a GOAL, then just do it : ). It's ok. It's your tool, so it doesn't matter if you are in the green or red at the end of be day. You KNOW where you wanted to end up. If you are zig zagging your cals, you are already mentally/ manually working that out. It's LIFE so we've gotta learn to " fly" a bit on our own. MFP has some great tools to use!

This works pretty well
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nutritionist.development&hl=en
it starts you at a certain amount but then there are buttons for off day low energy and high for work out days and it changes it up and its pretty accurate. Then i think you can add " meal plans" Which you can enter in your own macros and what not!
