I think it would be cool to have a live ticker (at the top of the page or something) showing how much weight has been lost by all users. (But give a option to turn it off if people dont want it)

It's around this time last year that MFP posted a summary... which was 20 million pounds or so ... yup. June 24 2011
http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/mike/view/over-20-million-pounds-lost-117750 So I do wonder how we've done in the year since, Since they're only tallying it once that I can see (maybe prior years as well but i haven't been around that long) it's probably a lot to crunch, as you have to allow for those who are here to gain in their profile rather than lose, and who knows what else. I'd like to see another summary at least but if it gets added as a live ticker stick it under tools or something so it can be accessed by those who want to see it, when they want to see it, rather than having to load all the time. Some of us are on pretty poor internet connections ;) If I don't have cell-signal I don't have internet, and we don't get much cell coverage off the highway.

How do you add the ticker showing the # of pounds lost to your messages?
Thanks Suresh

tools > tickers
to create your ticker then here in the forums, just above the original post there's a line that says "Home > Recent Posts > My Topics > SETTINGS > Search" click that settings Literally, at this time, the only option under that settings (instead of one of the other 6 or 7 on the site) is whether or not to display your ticker on forum posts, depending on the state of the checkbox.
