TOPIC: Withings wifi Scale Integration

March 05, 2012 03:09
Hi, Could you please build Withings wifi scales integration into the new update. I love my scales and it would be great to have the data automatically appear in my myfitnesspal account.

Thanks,

Craig

I agree. I'm using two apps and two pieces of hardware to track my biometric data - RunKeeper (for runs) and MyFitnessPal (for food and calorie counts), and the Withings scale (for accurate weight and fat data) and FitBit (for finely tuned metabolic rate information). I would love it if all four could play together.

Would love to have my Withings scale connect automatically to MFP.

Add me to the list. (Say, on a side note, why is it that when I searched the forums for the word "Withings" I got no results?)

Have we heard any reply from myfitnesspal, on this?
I might have to change apps, to an app that intergrates with a scale.

Add my name to the list!! If both the Withings Scale & BP Monitor Devices were added, that would almost eliminate most of my daily manual inputs. Also, any integration with Nike+ Devices would be a plus as well!!

I'd be another one to vote wholeheartedly for Withings scales and BM integration !

I too welcome the Withings scale being on this website. I'm sure they'll provide whatever APIs are necessary, and from what I understand it's not hard to program.

The opportunity exists too to add their Blood Pressure monitor, as doctors love to see weight loss tied to blood pressure improvements.

I vacillate between using MFP and BodyMedia. Body Media now as of their last update supports the Withings equipment. It's just that MFP's food database has me stuck in a quadary, since it's way too easy to scan barcodes and add that way versus finding a few meager choices and adding in the rest manually from the labels.

I am a retired senior systems analyst, and a confirmed gadget geek. My wife and I started using MFP in late Feb.
I then ordered the Fitbit and was hooked, I ordered one for my wife two weeks later. I was also one of the initial people to pre-order the Fitbit Aria scale. It arrived two days ago and I have integrated it into our Wifi network. Unfortunately, it reads about 1 lb. higher than my old scale, but I would move that one multiple times to get the lowest reading. So I figure the Aria is more accurate.

Bottom line (no pun intended), I am down 20+ lbs since I started with MFP and the Fitbit monitors, and have 10 to go to meet my goal.

The electronics did not make me lose weight, but were great incentives to improve our diet and increase my exercise. Just did 5 laps around my driveway circle to hit my 10,000 steps.

I also am a hyper-tension patient and suffer from obstructive sleep apnea. The Fitbit sleep tracker is great, but it would be FANTASTIC to have a wireless BP cuff.

Me too! My fitbit and withings work well - so does my fitness with my fitbit.... please please please integrate the withings scale!

If Withings integration is not possible, at least sync over the weight from FitBit. You already have that connection there, so why not bring the data over as well?

Just noticed that as well in regards to searching for Withings. Like they blacklisted the word from search! What's the deal?

Guess something like this would always work

Agree. Withings scale integration would be a very good step forward.

AGRED!! Please add Withings scale integration. So many other services offer it. But your food database is SO much better than anything else I have ever seen. If MyFitnessPal could directly import Withings scale data, it would be the end-all, be-all of diet tracking applications!! What is the downside?? None. Please add it. Thanks.

I'm holding off on buying the Withings scale until I find out if it shares info with Fitbit or whether the Fitbit scale shares info with MyfitnessPal.
