When I had been doing this program before, I was entering it in as circuit training. I've heard many people do this.
But I know using a HRM would likely be more accurate.

I enter it as "circuit training" but did use a HRM to get the calorie burn.

I was wondering the same thing! I used high impact aerobics because I had no clue, and can't find my HRM! I'll try the circuit training thing.

I use my heart rate monitor to track my calories. I don't think there is going to be anything standard about doing the 30 DS. It is so dependent on your body, strength, fitness, etc.
Today I burned 296 calories doing level one.

I also use a HRM and only burn about 142 calories because of my level of fitness.
Honestly I have never lost weight more consistently than when I had a HRM because I would put in circuit training and it would give me like 300 calories, when in reality I was only burning 140ish. I know it's an investment, but it has been essential in my weight loss.

I burn close to 280 on a normal day, if I'm tired then it's more like 240. I wore it just to see when I walked my dog a week or so ago. way suprised! 40 min walk and did close to 300 cals. :)) My Polar ft4 was about 70 bucks on amazon
