I am hoping to find out how to post a pic on a forum thread. I tried copy and paste, but it didn't work. Any suggestions?

you need to put the picture's url link between image tags.

"[ IMG ]" www . picture.com /jpg "[/IMG ]" minus the " " part, the spaces and the IMG in lower case too.

hope that makes sense

What if the picture is stored on the computer?

Can't be, because you can't truly upload a picture. So must be public site with a page reference that will not change.
Most let you find what the URL would be for just such a use.

Your link has "%" in it. That means your picture has a space in the title of it. You cannot have any spaces in the titles. Go to photobucket, and re-title the picture so there are not any spaces in it.

Picture addresses with naughty words in them won't work because the word in the link gets censored.

If you manually replace the %20's with spaces it works. It's a quirk of the forum system here.

From quoting you you're almost there
you just lack a / in the final img tag..
you put [ img] instead of [ /img]
