I just got my Fitbit and would love to sync the two accounts. has MFP listed as "coming soon" I am not sure how if it is new or not. But the syncing could be imminent.

Also search results here for fitbit reveals messages cannot be read, as if they are part of a close group. So, I'd suspect a beat programs already under way.

Too bad it wasn't an open beta. I'm getting used to the Loseit app which syncs with the FitBit. MFP is going to have to win me back.

Haha, I'd love to help beta test too, ireland hope the link comes sooner rather than later because I don't want to have to sync everything twice!

If this is a Tech Support forum thread, where is the MFP tech support response to all of this? Is the integration in beta or not? Is it a closed beta or not? When will it go to open beta? I would love to be a part of it and am considering wandering off to another site that already has it also. Hope someone can offer something soon.

I did see sparkpeople post (They don't have this either) that had a neat idea that would work as a workaround on any site. Setup a 'food' called SparkPeople in your favorites list. Make it 10 calories a serving. Then when you complete your entry in your favorite site to log food (MFP) go to FITBIT and in their food logging tool pick the favorites and enter in a number of serving equal to one tenth your total for the day. For example if you ate 2010 calories, enter a 201 serving for the SparkPeople food and you will have your food intake in one entry a day in the FITBIT site.

If you prefer having everything in MFP, do the same thing with an exercise in MFP. Create an exercise called FITBIT Entry. Make it a 10 calorie workout per minute or pick on that already exists (can you add a custom exercise in MFP?). Then take your daily fitbit readout for activity and enter in the number of minutes to equalt that exercise. Just get the activity because the overall calories on the FITBIT site add in BMR and such and that would double count in MFP I think.

Anyway, just a thought. Would love to here from someone at MFP on this topic!! Please. You have folks trying to be loyal to your product and help improve it. At least give them an answer?

Just saw this tweet following MyFitnessPal regarding this topic. May want to follow them on twitter. They seem to post lost of tech support updates and news there.

@JustTracyB Working on it as we speak. Still a few bugs to iron out but hope to have Fitbit integration available shortly...

I have linked my Fit Bit to My Fitness Pal account. It says it is linked but I am not sure if exercise info is being transmited to MFP. The food I enter into MFP is not showing up on Fitbit. I am still confused, but I think it will be a great tool someday.

I plugged my Fitbit and charger into the PC and it synced food and exercise between the Fitbit site and the My Fitness Pal site. It all looks right. I thought it was supposed to do it without the usb plug in, within 15 feet. But mine didn't do that. Only the calories from foods are transferred from MFP to Fitbit not individual foods. That is ok with me.
