i carry my weight mostly in my stomach, my legs and arms are skinny so i have to keep myself really skinny to balance it out -.-

When I got married the first time (2006) I was a UK8 bust, UK12 waist and UK10 hips. That screwed with their measuring system...

I'd second the "call her manager and tell them" and the " go girl on the dieting, and remember Spanx are awesome" approaches :)

Mine does right now and I'm not pregnant nor have I ever had children
Chest 33, waist 30, belly 35, hips 38.5

We actually experienced a similar conversation with a bridal shop last year when ordering bridesmaids dresses, I'm sorry your sales lady was so rude, you should definitely all the manager.

Mine does and I hate it! One of the parts of my body I hate the absolute most! But it's getting smaller even though it seems to be the SLOWEST part I'm losing. But at least it is going away. I'm very self conscious about it and hate to wear dresses or any longer shirts that are stretchy. Unless I have a belt wrapped around my mid section..nuh uh...ain't going to happen. And that lady must be new at her job because there is no way she's never seen anyone w/ their tummy hanging out past their boobs. Or she's just had a lot of people lying to her over the phone about their measurements. And obviously she doesn't look at other people when she's out and about. I mean...seriously??? Either she's very unobservant or just stupid and insensitive. lol
November 16, 2012 3:41 AM
LOL I remember when I could easily rest my arms on my stomach and/or use it as a table!

Yep, mine does too.. frown Not pregnant, and not had any children. It's pretty common, I don't understand why she said that!

yes maam, my body is similar shaped. dont they call that a pear shape, where you are bigger below the waste than above the waste.

Apple shapes carry the weight in their stomach the most. Pears tend to be slim up top, and bigger below.

That employee sure didn't know a thing about body shapes!!! I see apple shapes all the time wherever i go. I'm a pear shape, but i fan relate to the size difference.

Mine never has, but my mom's does. I know a lot of women proportioned that way.

I think with my boob size, I'd have to be 300 pounds for that to happen to me, though. Suckers are big for my frame!
November 16, 2012 4:27 AM
Yes it used to and even at 134pounds at 5'5" only just got the belly to 31" had to get a BMI of 23 before my belly hit the healthy circumferance measurement, when I had an overweight BMI my belly circumference was in the obese range. My dad used to ask if I was pregnant all the time, until about the 4th time when I said "you ask me everytime you see me! no! so stop asking!" :(

Also I am, and probably always will be, at least one dress size (in some cases 2) bigger on the top compared to the bottoms, dresses can be a nightmare as if it fits on my hips it's disgustingly tight on my abdomen and if it fits my torso I have baggy hips, splitting dresses at the side under my armpit when I bend over is my speciality ;)

Having said that I'm much happier with my figure now and love my legs, us apples have rockin' legs, you have to be happy with your good bits, I'll probably never have a totally flat tum but I can live with that ;P. Oh yeah and get a waist cincher they're fab!

How very rude of the sales person!! I suggest you make a complaint and waggle some discount for the hurt caused! As for the belly thing mine does right under my boobs but that's also the place i have noticed the greatest loss recently its like getting a boobjob! Lots of people i know have a smaller top to their bottom or the other way round. I guess she's never experienced it LUCKY her (sarcastic humor) :) xx

My belly does stick out past my very small "rack".

I'd make a complaint against that sales person. She must think there are a LOT of pregnant ladies out there...

Oh yeah, it's called being an apple, lol. I definitely suffered from that and even now down almost 60 pounds my waistline is still out of whack, it's way better, boobies stick out way farther than my stomach now but it's still making my clothes a bit whacky, sucks being a fourteen everywhere except my waist.

When I was in the military if your stomach stuck out past your...nether region...they called it ****idoo.
As in your belly sticks out further than...
I wonder if they say boobidoo to the women recruits...

My stomach used to stick out past my breasts. And I am a C cup, so not small at all.

Read the book "Wheat Belly", it could be part of the cause. When I stay away from wheat my belly is definitely smaller, go back (even just one item) and bam, I look PG again.

Haven't you already used your hour for today?

*poof*

Like it never even happened.

Surgical strike completed.

ETA: Oh, and to answer the question, no.

you are a total hottie dude, want to be bff's?

Oh, I know. I completely understand why you would want to add me to you stable of beautiful people.

However, I have a strict "no models" policy* so I must decline. Nothing personal.

*I also have a "no douches" policy, so even if you change professions, the answer will still be "no".

That's such a rude thing for a saleslady to say! Mine does because I'm overweight. I have HUGE boobs anyway, but I had gotten up to 307lbs so *of course* my stomach was bigger, that's where I carry weight. My measurements now are much smaller but my hips are the largest spot at 55in whereas across my bust I'm 46in. On a nearly 6' tall frame it doens't look sooo bad but I'm waiting for the day everything evens out haha.

Even when I was 343lbs, my boobs were still bigger. Amazingly enough, no one has ever asked me if I were pregnant.

A quick fix - SPANX!

No.

That was me a few months ago. My bf used to call that ****do for guys; when your belly sticks out farther than your d*ck do (his grammar is the worst!). So, I guess that would make it boobdo for us. haha
