I have an iPhone 4 running iOS5 and my reminders do not work. I also have a friend running the iPhone 3GS with iOS5 and her reminders dont work. We both just set them up today and they did not work.

Thanks for any help!

Same Issue. Common problem/bug, or is it a setting issue?

Mine were set up before the iOS update, and am now running 5.0.1. Reminders work fine for me (iPhone 4)

I also have never managed to get app reminders working. noway I've deleted/reinstalled the myfitpal app, and made sure the reminder time and time zone are correct - have even checked "Do not notify between" times to make sure those were not conflicting with the reminder time.

iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1, but in fact app reminders did not work on my old 3G either. My phones are not jailbroken or anything odd installed. Well, angry birds but other than that .. wink

I have given up on them - apparently app reminders are just not compatible with my account or something. All else about myfitpal app is excellent so I'm not unhappy overall, just would love to get reminders working.

When do the reminders pop up anyway? Does the app have to be the current app, or does myfitpal use the standard iPhone notification mechanism?

If you're having issues with reminders, will you check your settings in two places?

First, as many seem to have done, check in the app under More > Settings > Notification Preferences and/or My Reminders to be sure you've opted in to the reminders and notifications you want.

Then, quit the app and launch the iPhone's "Settings" app, tap Notifications, and find MyFitnessPal in the list and tap that.

Be sure that the app's notification preferences are set to "banner" or "alert", and additionally you can set the reminders to appear in the lock screen or in notification center.

If everything in both of these areas seems configured correctly and you are not receiving reminders, please update this thread.

It works! I had configured reminders in the MFP app itself, but the iPhone Notifications were disabled for most apps, including MyFitnessPal. Changing Notifications with the iOS Settings app was the key.

In the iPhone's Settings -> Notifications list, MyFitnessPal was not "In the Notification Center". So I clicked the MyFitnessPal line down below and set Notification Center On, Alert Style "Alerts", and set three switches (Badges, Sounds, View in Lockscreen) all to On.

I left iPhone Settings, restarted the MFP app and the reminders are working! Thanks, Steven - I'm really glad to get this working. happy

Hi,

This post is over a year old. There is an issue with Android reminders for some users at this time. Our next app update will address this issue. I am not quite sure when it will go live, but when it does a fix is in place for reminders.

We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Cheers,
Scott
