It would be nice, for folks trying to gain weight, if the tickers would show that progress to goal.

I just tried updating my ticker for pregnancy weight gain (from 155 to 180). It shows lbs to go as "0" or weight lost "0", nothing about the 2 lbs I've gained so far.

I know others are on here trying to GAIN weight for various health/fitness reasons. Why the bias towards weight LOSS?

I would like this too :)
I removed mine from showing when I post in the forums as it just looked like I was right at the beginning of weight loss! haha

I think this is very important, since this is a fitness site, not a weight loss site. flowerforyou

I thought I've seen them with negative losses....

This would be very good.

I would love to see tickers for weight gain. Trying to gain weight is as important as trying to loose weight. When you think about it whether we are trying to loose or gain weight, we are all working toward one goal and that is to get fit. happy
My Fitness Pal please give us weight gain tickers, ty flowerforyou

I agree, even as a weight loser. I gained weight back and when I started losing again, I didn't get the satisfaction of seeing the progress on the ticker because it still reflected my lower starting weight.

agreed x10!!!

Get to the page where you reset your goals (homepage --> "Goals") and customize your own. You can set up whatever calories and macro percentages you want.

And I agree about the weight-gain ticker!

Definitely AGREED!! I have to give myself props when I gain weight, as I am taking steps closer to my personal goal... wish MFP would add this soon!

I too would love to see MFP ticker's support weight gain as well as weight loss!

Thanks for the feedback, folks. This is definitely on our list of improvements (I'm a weight-gainer as well, so trust me, you have an advocate!)

I can't guarantee a timeline, but we're definitely aware of the request.

I wish you the best on your continued weight management and fitness goals!

Steven

Wow, nothing has happened since February, how hard can it be to at least implement some basic functionality.
Do you really want us Gainers to switch to one of the other websites?
Why is this???
This is a fitness website not weight watchers, gaining mass is a legitimate fitness goal.
It's a very naive and beginner view of fitness to only view loosing weight/fat as a goal. Building muscle is important as well if you dont want to look like your starving to death.

I have been trying to find this as well... I have always been small and I have been trying to gain weight with MFP. The ticker would be a great addition and like BigGainerL stated, I can't believe nothing has been done on this since Feb. I don't know how to write scripts or HTML but I can't foresee this being a very difficult thing to implement since you already have it for weight loss...

C'mon MFP! Think about us skinny people trying to get bigger! LOL

Another pregnancy gainer here! It's showing something, but only the end of the gain, which I may never reach.

I completely agree. I'm trying to gain weight fro health reasons and it would give a boost to my confidence if I could check my progress. so a big + from my side

This would be a nice addition.

BUMP

There are many of us who would like this and it would be an easy fix.

MFP,
Why can't you give us the option?
