Am I the only one who stresses about this? Even though I've already input the calories on the recipe calculator and divided it into individual servings, it drives me nuts that one "cookie" might have a bit more batter than another. I worry like crazy about how much each cookie or baked good is off, you know. I try my best to keep the serving sizes equal, but I doubt they are.

Also, whenever I measure out the ingredients, I get really nervous that I'm accidentally measuring wrong like my brown sugar is a little too packed or my cup of flour isn't completely level at the top.

Anybody else? Makes me stomach churn thinking about it.

Don't sweat the small stuff hon. Most everything here is not an exact science. In general you will do fine. 3 calories one way or another in a home made cookie is not much when you consider the big picture of eating healthy.

When I bake bread, I weigh the total of the loaf, and say it's 28 oz, I calculate it to be 28 servings, and weigh each slice by ounces. if a slice is 2 oz, then it's 2 servings.

I've even done this for muffins. I weighed the total of all of them, and then weighed each one so I knew exactly the calories. But I don't stress about it so much anymore, since I'm in maintenance.

And I weigh most of my ingredients when I bake, either in grams or oz...mostly grams

If you are that stressed, get yourself a scale. It'll be the only way to figure out TRUE calories for anything.

Oh, I do have a scale, and I was going to do just that... but the batteries in my scale have decided to stop working today! And they're not normal AA's or something. :( So I'm just extra freaked out today.

Agreed completely - The fact that you've chosen to become healthy at your age is fantastic in and of itself, those couple of calories here or there on the occasional baked good isn't going to make any difference in the long run...

You are doing great - you should enjoy your progress and take the time stressing and turn it into something positive (working out, picking out better recipes, etc.) :) Really impressed with you!!!
