Hi all,

I have the Pampered Chef Rice Cooker Plus and the other day I tried to make Brown Rice with it. It totally bombed and I had to throw it out.

Has anyone used this to cook brown rice and could give me some tips? I hate making it in a pan on the stove.

Thanks all!

I use a different rice cooker, but have used the same strategy in a pan, so I assume it's kind of the same with Pampered Chef. Brown rice takes more water (and more time) to cook than white. I use 2 1/2 c of water for every cup of brown rice. It's done when the water is absorbed. That's the only thing I do differently!

But how long and at what power level should it be put in the microwave for. For instance, with white rice, it's a total of 20 minutes; 15 minutes on 50% power, 5 minutes on High.

Sorry, I should have phrased my question a bit better.
