I see a lot of people that have completed the 30 day shred and have posted their success stories. I thought it would be very motivating to have a thread dedicated to the results people see from their journey through the 30 day shred. Whether it's before and after pictures, how your measurements/weight has changed since you started or simply your general insight of how you felt after you finished the program. Share your success! You have earned it!!! :o)


*I have about three weeks left on the program but will post pictures and stats when I'm finished.

Here are my results:

Started March 16
Bust: 34
Waist: 30.5
Hips: 39
Weight:140

Completed on April 18
Bust: 33 - a loss of 1 inch
Waist: 28 - a loss of 2.5 inches
Hips: 37 - a loss of 2 inches
Weight: 132.6 - a loss of 7.4 lbs

I wish I would have taken some other measurements like arms/legs/neck, but that hadn't really occured to me before I started.

I am 5'6" - and the 30DS was really the only workout I was following. I did 10 days at each level with a few rest days spread out here and there. Wasn't doing any other extra exercises, etc. I was following a 1200 calorie diet as well.

Black suit is BEFORE and Zebra suit is AFTER.

Great idea!!

I did it for 30 consecutive days (which I still can't believe I didn't miss a day!!). I also did the C25K program three times a week, and Zumba twice a week. As well as some biking and walking in there, too.

I lost 5.5 lbs, 3" off my waist and 3.5" off my hips.

I did the Shred for 32 days (I missed 2 in there due to scheduling conflicts and sickness...) I lost 4 1/2 pounds and a total of 9 inches between my underbust, waist and hips. I think I want to get Ripped in 30 and try it next. She's tough, but I gotta admit, I love Jillian... :)

This is a good idea for anyone doing 30DS. There are pictures of me floating around here somewhere, but here are my measurements. It took me about 6 weeks to complete the program.

Chest: 44 - 42 = -2

Waist: 39.5 - 37 = -2.5

Hip: 45 - 42 = -3

Thigh: 23 - 21.5 = -1.5

Arm - 13.5 - 13 = -.5

Total inches lost: 9.5 inches all over

My total weight loss was 11.6 (from 171.6 to 160.0)

Thank you for this. I started it and just skipped 2 days. This gives me the incentive ot get back on the shred train. Ive completed 4 days so far but its taken me a week :(

Can someone tell me about the 30 day shred...I am going away on vacation next month and would really like to lose some inches as well as 15-25 pounds!

I don't have pics... but I started the 30 Day Shred in January. Two weeks into it, I started the Couch to 5K. I lost 10 lbs in the first month.... and another 5 by the end of the 30 days. AMAZING.
I really like the 30 Day Shred, and am working through Ripped in 30 on my non-runing/cross training days.

30 Day Shred is by Jillian Michaels and is one of her ciruit training programs. She does a quick 5 minute warm up, then 3 curcuits with 3 minutes strength training, two minutes cardio, and 1 minute abs... for a total of 18 ish minutes hard. Then a 5 minute cool down. There are three levels on the DVD. It is a killer DVD.

Is that what' is being advertised at the top of the page where I see her pictures? Is it available in stores or only online?

You guys are doing amazingly well. I will be closing school next week, and it sounds like just the thing to get my butt in gear. I have gravity working against me (LOL), but if I can do half as well as you younger ladies, I will be well pleased.

Does anyone know approximately how many calories it burns or is it considered high impact aerobics? Any advise would help.

I use the circuit training, general in the exercise list but you should really use a hrm if you want to know exactly how many cals you are burning...

I am just starting the 30 day shred! I hope to see similar results I plan on doinbg the shred with an added 20 mins cardio at the gym, And some extra weight training.

The first time I did the shred I lost 27 pounds in the 5 weeks (hubby lost 17). I did it 3-4 times a week for 5 weeks and walked approx. 30 minutes a few times a week too. Im starting to feel fluffy again so hubby and I started again! I have pics in my profile.

I started shred on 11/7/10 did it 2x until 1/25/11
I lost around 19 lbs (140 to 121) and a lot of inches but forgot the exact amount :(
