Love this idea.......a little reminder to wear around all day! I also know that I would be on the look out for other MFP members wearing them. I would be the crazy lady running up to you saying howdy!

A good conversation starter... "Wow, you are on myfitnesspall too!" I can see people comparing bands... it would be a good incentive to work out and lose more just so you can show off the colour band you are wearing .

I like it!! Wouldn't be a great motivator to not want to remove the blue 10 pound lost band because you gained back 5??

I lost 36 pounds, gained back a bunch and am back to 26 now. If that red 30 pound band was laying there just WAITing for me I bet I would go for a walk right now!!

laugh

I guess you'd just have to be honest with yourself and not cheat, because you are only cheating yourself.

Well done for losing the weight. Keep up the good work!

Great idea. I think the biggest benefit of wearing one would be that it's a physical reminder of your goals... as you raise your hand to your mouth to eat junk, you'd be reminded very quickly (and hopefully deterred) from continuing.

We used bracelets like this from www.one.org (a charity linked to unicef, etc.) as our wedding favor - 2 bracelets tied together with a message saying that we had made a donation in honor of our wedding guests to an important charity... it was also nice because the charity was called ONE, and as a couple we became one that day!

I think you should totally go for it! If you order, we will buy!

What a lovely thing to do for your wedding. Do you know if people still wear the bracelets?

I think once you had your first wristband, you'd want to get the next!

I can see it now...........I am in a McDs slowly lifting a quarter pounder to my mouth. As it is but a few inches away, I see the 'band"(cue music dun dun dun) I think "Oh NO, is it worth it? Do I want to remove the band???" As I lay the burger down and chow on my chicken salad with no dressing!!

Ha ha ha. Maybe it should be called a Resistance band instead of a wristband! And it's amazing that it comes with it's own theme tune too!

I bet you would be like 4 lbs away from losing 40lbs and that burger would move that mile stone even further away.
