I started my weight loss journey in January of this year. I went from 131 lbs to 114 lbs and I seemed to have lost fat everywhere except my lower abdominal area. I have been doing P90X and can't figure out why I still have fat in this area. I don't eat sugar (use Stevia), exercise 2xs a day and mainly eat chicken and turkey as my source of meat. Lots of veggies and salads. What am I doing wrong? Any suggestions? Need help...frustrated! (I've slipped a couple of times in the last 4 months with a small piece a cake & frozen yogurt, but nothing major that I would think cause a big impact).

Look, there is no exercise or diet that will selectively remove belly fat! Your body will remove fat from various compartments in it's own way. You will need to keep working! Good luck and keep at it!

have you had children, was 131 your heaviest weight? Perhaps, do to age that skin area does not have as much elasticity left in it? What kind of exercises are you doing to target that area to strengthen and tone them?

Do you have children? Cause in my case I also weigh about 114 and still have a lower abdominal pooch and was told its cause my muscle in my stomach tore while I was pregnant and it would have to be surgically repaired. I guess this happens to some women during pregnancy. Cause mine is also just right in the lower region and I run like a madman and eat right so... I just learn to live with it. When I am done having kids I will probably have it taken care of

Today there was an article on Yahoo about how sitting for the majority of the day causes all these health risks. One of the things that sitting can cause is your glute muscles to weaken because they aren't being used throughout the day. When your glute muscles are weak it can cause your pelvis to tilt and then your stomach will look like it is protruding. Just an idea? Not sure if it applies to you. But if you have a very sedentary job this might be part of the problem? The article was called "The Most Dangerous Thing You'll Do All Day" if you want to look it up.
Also, a lot of common ab work can actually cause the stomach to look bigger. When doing core work make sure you are always trying to bring your belly button back towards your spine, so your abs aren't pushing out. Otherwise, maybe you are eating some foods that don't really agree with your stomach and it is causing bloating? These are just some possible ideas.
Don't give up though, you have already done an amazing job!

Yes, I have 3 children. I do everything on the P90X program which ranges from Cardio, Kenpo, ab exercises, strength training, yoga, etc.... I also do incline treadmill once a week. This area is the only stubborn area left
