If they are dry ones then you need to boil them in water (no salt) until they are tender, then there's all sorts of yummy things you can make.
Put them into a veggie curry, make hommous, make felafel, make burgers, put them into salads.

I reguarly have them as burgers. I buy them canned, so already cooked, and then just mash them up and add grated carrot and zuchinni and onion, some cumin and coriander and garlic, salt, parsley, and maybe some flour if they seem too wet. Then just shape into patties and fry in a pan. Tastes good with sweet chilli sauce, or in a wrap with salad.

If you bought a bag it sounds like they are dry. It's best to soak them over night and then boil them. I think they take about an hour or so after a full soaking, longer if not soaked. It depends on how you like them. After cooked I use them in salads, soups, salads, roasting in with a little olive oil and seasoning, and make hummus. I love chick peas!
