TOPIC: Couch to 5k using an Elliptical

Has anybody used an Elliptical to complete this program OR Just to fill in a day/week when the weather might be bad ?

The thought had crossed my mind, but I don't know how you'd differentiate the walking v. running portions. So I stick to the treadmill.

I used an elliptical yesterday cuz all the treadmills were taken. Not too bad. Still got my sweat on! ;)

I'm doing it on a treadmill -- for my standard routine I've been using the elliptical but the motion and after affects of the treadmill and elliptical feel completely different to me.. on the treadmill I actually have to pick up my feet and pound them back down instead of just pushing with my legs on the elliptical.. thats the only difference I see..

I tracked my calories both on the treadmill and elliptical and the elliptical BLOWS it out of the water. In 30 min on the treadmill I burned like 120 calories going betweek 4.5 and 5.0. On the elliptical for 30 min I burned over 400 calories! Love it!!! :)

I would think you could still do the C25K on an elliptical...really it may help you because I know I tend to move faster on the elliptical than I do on the treadmill...

When I first started trying to lose weight I actually did Couch 2 5K on the stationery bike. It worked for a while but then my body adjusted to it and I had to move to the elliptical. Now I'm transitioning into actually 'running'. It's tough but I'm trying!
